Good Morning-

With many of our off-campus residents and those in Deacon Place apartments impacted by the ongoing fire on North Cherry Street, we are asking that you provide us with an update as to your current status via the housing portal linked below - including any needs you may still be facing.
UPDATE YOUR STATUS
VIA THE HOUSING PORTAL
AS A REMINDER, the Winston-Salem Fire Department is asking for voluntary evacuations by residents within a one-mile radius of that address. That includes off-campus housing north of Polo Road between Cherry Street and Long Drive.

Wake Forest has opened the Wellbeing Center, Benson Center, and ZSR Library for students who are evacuating and are not able to stay with friends or family outside of the one-mile evacuation radius. Additionally, a Student Support Center is available in the Wellbeing Center in conference room A330. If you have an emergent housing need, please contact us at housing@wfu.edu with the following information:
  • Name, WFU ID #
  • Cell Phone #, WFU Email
  • Current Location

Those evacuating should plan to be away from home for 48 hours based on current information from the Winston-Salem Fire Department.
Stay safe and stay alert for continuing updated from the University on this continually evolving situation.

If you have any questions or concerns for our office, please contact us at housing@wfu.edu or 336.758.5185.

Best -
