Yesterday, MPDC welcomed State Senator Liz Miranda to Hibernian Hall for a special celebration of a $100,000 state investment supporting critical repairs and historic preservation at one of Roxbury's most treasured cultural landmarks.
Joined by MPDC leadership, community members, and supporters, Senator Miranda highlighted the importance of preserving Hibernian Hall as a vibrant home for arts, culture, and community connection.
We're grateful to Senator Miranda for her continued advocacy and commitment to ensuring that Hibernian Hall remains a place where Roxbury's stories, creativity, and community can thrive for generations to come.

“If we don't invest in the places we call home, they disappear... When we're looking at Hibernian Hall, we see the heart of Roxbury.”

“TODAY, I OFFICIALLY BECAME A HOMEOWNER”
For Madelin Pizarro, becoming a homeowner once felt like a distant dream. With support, education, and guidance through MPDC’s homeownership programs, that dream became a reality.
This summer, Madelin reached an incredible milestone: purchasing her first home and creating a new foundation for herself and her son.
“What you have helped me achieve is more than just purchasing a home. You have helped me and my son build a foundation for stability, security, and generational wealth.”
Madelin shared that she entered the homebuying process feeling nervous and unsure of what to expect, but the workshops, financial support, guidance, and encouragement she received helped give her the confidence to keep moving forward.
