Gathering Together is a
Blessing of Hearts

“We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing…” These familiar words from the beloved hymn, written in 1597 by Adrianus Valerius, remind us that gathering together is more than simply coming into one place. It is an invitation to stand before the Lord as one body, united in faith, strengthened by prayer, and renewed in our commitment to the life we have chosen to share.
For Daughters of the King, gathering together is at the heart of our being. We come together in the chapel to pray, around the table to share a meal, in community to celebrate, and in moments of sorrow to offer comfort and support. Each gathering, whether planned or spontaneous, gives us an opportunity to recognize Christ in one another. In the rhythm of our daily lives, these moments of communion remind us that we are not walking the journey alone. We belong to God, and we belong to one another. What a blessing that is!
The image of “gathering His sheep within the fold,” a Biblical phrase that appears in the Prayer of our Order, offers another beautiful reflection on the gift of togetherness. The Good Shepherd calls each sheep by name, watches over the flock, and seeks out those who may have wandered or become weary. In our Order, we are invited to reflect that same loving care. We gather not merely to be present, but to notice one another, to listen with compassion, to encourage the discouraged, and to welcome each Daughter with tenderness and understanding. We become instruments of the Shepherd’s love whenever we help another feel seen, valued, and at home.
Gathering together also calls us to embrace the richness of our differences. Each Daughter brings her own gifts, experiences, hopes, and challenges to the community. We may not always see things in the same way, and working together requires patience, humility, forgiveness, and a willingness to begin again. Yet it is precisely through these ordinary acts of love that our unity becomes a living witness to the Gospel. Our communion is not dependent upon our sameness, but upon our shared desire to follow Christ faithfully.
In a world where so many experience loneliness, division, and uncertainty, Daughters of the King have a special opportunity to bear witness to the grace of belonging. When we gather in prayer, we carry one another before the Lord. When we gather in fellowship, we nurture the bonds that sustain us. When we gather for service, we draw strength from our common calling to serve God’s people with generous hearts.
Perhaps the invitation before us is simple: Let us be intentional about gathering together. Let us make room for conversation, share our joys and burdens, pray for one another, and reach out to the Daughter who may be standing quietly at the edge of the circle. May no one feel forgotten within the fold, and may each Daughter experience the warmth of a community that reflects the Shepherd’s faithful love.
“We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing.” May these words continue to shape our lives and our relationships. As we come together in faith, may the Lord bless our Order with unity, deepen our love for one another, and strengthen us for the mission entrusted to us. And may we always remember that, gathered within the loving care of the Good Shepherd, we are both a flock held close to His heart and a community sent forth to share His love with the world.

An Opportunity for Remembrance
| | November 1, the feast of All Saints’ Day, is designated as the ingathering date for the Endowment Fund. The day is also recommended as a Corporate Communion Day for The Order, as described in our Bylaws under Article III. On this day, we recognize all saints throughout the years and, most especially, those who have lived among us. Gathering as a chapter and recognizing those we have lost in the past year is especially meaningful. The Book of Remembrance records the names of those who have been memorialized or honored with a gift to the Endowment Fund. Contributions do not have to be only in memory of someone who has passed away. Special contributions can be made in tribute, in celebration of birthdays or anniversaries, or in thanksgiving for a Daughter’s dedication to The Order. In a lasting gift to The Order, the Endowment Fund can be supported by estate planning. Upon death, these bequests remain in the Fund, with only earnings on principal being paid out to support the work of The Order.
The Fund was established in 1928 to further the work of The Order by investing donations and providing for the later withdrawal of earnings. Earnings from the Fund are distributed to International Development, National Enrichment, or the Operating Reserve. The Endowment Fund truly is a gift that keeps on giving!
The easiest way to donate to the Endowment Fund is to do it online here. For those who are not comfortable with donating online, a donation form is available to print and mail to the national office. As a donation reaches the national office, either by mail or online, it is recorded in the Book of Remembrance. The Book of Remembrance is taken to each Triennial Gathering and is placed on the Triennial altar.

Newly Elected Chapter Officers:
How to Access the Officer's Corner

The Officer’s Corner is a secure area of our website reserved exclusively for current officers. It provides access to resources for officers, including the membership list. To protect this information, access is granted only to officers whose positions have been officially reported to and recorded by the national office.
We understand that newly elected officers may feel frustrated when they are unable to access the Officer’s Corner immediately. However, the national office can only update its records when a chapter reports a change in its leadership. To notify the national office of newly elected or appointed officers, the chapter must submit a Chapter Officers Form.
Access will not be granted until the form has been received and processed by national office staff. For quality assurance and security, each form is reviewed and processed individually by a staff member. Therefore, submitting the form does not result in immediate access.
The form also includes a Date Effective field, which determines the approximate date when the officer changes take effect in our system. New officers will receive access based on this date, and outgoing officers will lose access once their terms have ended, as reflected by the effective date.
If you are a newly elected or appointed officer and cannot access the Officer’s Corner, please confirm that your chapter has submitted the Chapter Officers Form and that the correct effective date has been entered.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as our staff works to process each update accurately and maintain the security of our membership information.

Come and SEE:
Seek to Serve; Engage; Embrace

I want to share a conversation I had with Miriam Weston, a Daughter who is 102 years “young.” Miriam has been a Daughter for 21 years and said she had heard of Daughters of the King, but they seemed mysterious. After attending a Ministry Fair at her church and seeing information about The Order at a table, she decided to join.
She expressed that her prayer life has changed as a Daughter. She always prayed, but as a Daughter, her prayers became more consistent. She became bolder in telling people that she was praying for them or asking people if she could pray for them.
She was struck by our motto: “I cannot do everything, but I can do something...” She said that she cannot serve as she once did, but she can still pray. She can still reach out to people with a text, note, or phone call. Simply reach out and say, “I am thinking of you.” She can still do this and does! She also shares Scripture with those she reaches out to. Her favorite is Romans 8:38-39 (NIV): “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Her message to us is that God still needs us and wants us at any age. Become a better person, reach out to others, and be a Daughter who inspires others. It is worth trying! Attend diocesan assembly meetings, retreats, and Triennial for spiritual feeding and an improved spiritual life.
May we all be like Miriam, who continues to live into our vision at the age of 102:
Know Christ.
Make Him known to others.
Be a reflection of God’s love in the world.

Good News, Bad News,
and a Wonderful Triennial Ahead!

Mark your calendars, Daughters! The 50th Triennial of The Order of the Daughters of the King® is coming to Phoenix, Arizona, July 7-11, 2027, and we can’t wait to gather with Daughters from across the country and around the world for worship, fellowship, and spiritual renewal!
Our theme, “Be Thou My Vision,” reminds us to keep Christ at the center of all we do as we strengthen our faith and renew our commitment to prayer and service.
Now for the bad news: Registration has increased by $100 since our last Triennial, bringing the registration fee to $675. We know that’s a significant increase, and we haven’t made this decision lightly. Rising costs for meals, supplies, and event services have made the adjustment necessary. We will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with accommodations for dietary needs and restrictions, including food allergies, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets.
But here comes the good news!
We’ve secured a special room rate of just $139 per night, plus a $20 resort fee — a savings over the 2024 Triennial of $180 on a four-night stay in a suite! This special rate is available for stays from July 3 through July 12, giving you the flexibility to arrive early or stay a little longer.
And what a place to visit! The beautiful Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is so much more than a hotel. Every room is a spacious suite featuring two queen beds and a fold-out couch, giving you plenty of room to relax and unwind. The resort offers something for everyone, including an 18-hole golf course, a spectacular 7-acre water park, a 20,000-square-foot athletic club, a full-service spa and salon, six swimming pools, and free parking. Why not make it a family getaway? Bring your family along and turn your time in Phoenix into a memorable vacation!
Of course, the best part of Triennial isn’t the resort amenities. It’s the opportunity to worship together, reconnect with old friends, make new ones, share our faith, and celebrate the ministry of The Order.
Start planning, invite your chapter sisters, and consider sharing a room to make your trip even more affordable.
Reserve your room by June 11, 2027:
We are celebrating our 50th Triennial, and we want YOU to be part of this special milestone! Phoenix is calling, Daughters! Come join us as we look to Christ, our vision, and celebrate all that God is doing through The Order!

Attending the Triennial Convention has always been an inspiring and uplifting experience for me. Gathering with Daughters from across the United States and beyond reminds me that we are part of a much larger community of women united by our promise to follow Christ, share His love, and serve His Church. Although we may come from different backgrounds, environments, and chapters, we are united by our commitment to prayer, service, and evangelism.
As a member of the International Committee, it is a blessing to introduce and share Triennial with our International Sisters who are able to attend. At the International Night festivities and presentations, we learn from, are humbled by, and are encouraged by their enthusiasm and dedication to spread the Good News throughout God’s kingdom.
Throughout the convention, there are amazing keynote speakers who inspire us to deepen our relationship with God and boldly live out our faith with compassion and courage. Each session offers opportunities to learn, reflect, and discover new ways to strengthen our chapters and serve our communities.
Worshiping and singing together with hundreds of Daughters is a heavenly experience and creates a powerful sense of unity and hope.
One of the greatest blessings is the opportunity to meet fellow Daughters from many dioceses, hear their stories, and share experiences from our own ministries. These conversations reminded me that while our local chapters may face different challenges, we all share the same calling to be faithful women of prayer and servant leaders.
When I return home, I bring with me a renewed spirit, new ideas, and a deeper commitment to the vows we take as Daughters of the King. I am grateful for the friendships that were formed, the wisdom that was shared, and the encouragement I received to continue serving with faith, humility, and joy.
I look forward to sharing all of the blessings God has in store for us at Triennial 2027!

Every three years, Daughters gather for Triennial, and each time I attend, I come away renewed, inspired, and grateful. While it offers fellowship, learning, and leadership opportunities, Triennial is much more than a conference. It is a gathering of women united by a shared commitment to prayer, service, and evangelism.
One of the most meaningful aspects of Triennial is worship. Praying, singing, and celebrating the Eucharist with hundreds of Daughters reminds me that Christ is at the center of our Order and our ministry. These moments strengthen my faith and renew my commitment to the promises I made as a Daughter.
Triennial is also a source of inspiration. Through workshops, speakers, and conversations with Daughters from across the United States and around the world, I discover new ideas for ministry and learn how others are living out their vows in creative and impactful ways. I return home energized and equipped with resources that benefit both me and my chapter.
Another reason I attend is to experience the broader mission of The Order. Hearing reports, celebrating accomplishments, and participating in the life of the organization helps me better understand the work being done throughout the world. It is inspiring to see how God is using Daughters in many different communities and cultures.
Perhaps the greatest gift of Triennial is the reminder that I am part of something larger than myself. In our local chapters, we faithfully serve where God has called us, but at Triennial we see the full reach of our sisterhood. We share stories, build friendships, and encourage one another in faith and service.
I attend Triennial because it reconnects me with God, with my sisters, and with the mission we share. Every time I leave, I do so with a deeper appreciation for The Order, renewed enthusiasm for ministry, and confidence that together we can continue to bring Christ's love to the world.
