Who We Are

Giving Generation ATX (GGATX) is Austin’s hub for young leaders to give and create community impact. We bring together emerging and established changemakers to strengthen our city through giving, leadership, advocacy, and service.

Why Now

Austin is at an inflection point, and so are we.

  • Austin is growing fast, and so are community needs. Rapid expansion has amplified both opportunities and challenges for our neighbors.
  • 20–45-year-olds make up nearly half of Austin’s population: the city’s largest and most powerful voice.
  • This generation is talented, innovative, and ready to lead. With unique skills, creativity, and commitment, Austin’s young adults are essential to shaping what comes next.
  • The Great Wealth Transfer is here. New resources and rising leaders are reshaping how generosity and impact flow through our city.

Together, we have the chance to make generosity part of Austin’s identity - now and for generations to come.

Thank You for an Incredible Kickoff!

On September 29, GGATX brought together a stellar room of givers, doers, and future leaders, and the energy was electric.

✨ Huge thanks to our host Emma Morris and emcee Marty Murad for keeping us inspired (and laughing!).

✨ Gratitude to our impact speakers Terry P Mitchell and Sarah Taylor for sharing the why, the know-how, and the joy behind this movement.

✨ And to our partners and sponsors: thank you for believing in a more generous Austin and for helping us turn momentum into impact.

From the Cocktail Napkin to Community Change

At GGATX, we know that great ideas don’t always start in boardrooms. Sometimes, they start on cocktail napkins.

Over tacos, coffee, or a late-night brainstorm, someone sketches out a thought: “What if Austin’s young leaders joined forces to make generosity contagious?”

That spirit of creativity and collaboration inspired our GGATX Napkin Series — quick visuals that make big ideas about giving and impact simple. This month, we’re sharing a single napkin that says it all:

Why philanthropy and generosity make Austin stronger — for everyone.

✨ Take a look below, share it, and let it spark your own ideas on how we can build a more generous community together. What would you sketch for Austin's future?
