New Jersey Club youth from across the state came together at the Boys & Girls Clubs in Monmouth County's Asbury Park Club to kick off the 2025 New Jersey Youth of the Year journey. On Saturday, February 8, 2025, over 30 teen leaders from 14 to 18 years old attended the Future Leaders Summit. The training engaged youth in breakout sessions about public speaking, essay writing, and interviewing skills. 2024 NJ Youth of the Year, Alexandra, from Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County shared her experience and provided tips and insight to the teens on how to be the best version of themselves. Youth participated in an essay writing workshop facilitated by Sue Wasserman of Writing for Good which guided Club teens on how to successfully tell their story and write a persuasive essay.
