Decades of Experience. A Difference You Can See.

Building a Higher Standard

Behind every exceptional millwork project is a combination of experience, technical expertise, and an eye for detail—and Tatyana Lisovsky brings all three to her work at Mass Cabinets Inc.

Tatyana joined MCI in 1997 and has been an integral part of the team for nearly three decades. As an Architectural Millwork Engineer, she plays an important role in transforming architectural concepts into detailed, buildable solutions. Her technical knowledge, precision, and exceptional attention to detail help bridge the gap between design and production, ensuring each project is thoughtfully engineered and ready for the next stage.

Tatyana’s depth of experience and dedication to accuracy reflect the high standards that define MCI. Her work is a reminder that exceptional manufacturing begins long before the first piece of material enters the shop—it starts with a well-executed plan.

Outside of work, Tatyana enjoys outdoor activities and photography, which fuel her creativity and appreciation for detail—qualities she brings to both her professional and personal life.

Nearly three decades of experience. A commitment to precision. A higher standard of craftsmanship.

  • Rift Sliced – Very linear grain; minimizes flecking in species like oak.

Solid Wood Cutting Methods

  • Plain Sawn – Cathedral grain; widest yield; most common.
  • Quarter Sawn – Straight grain; increased stability; visible ray fleck in oak.

Veneer Thickness

  • Today’s standard architectural veneer is 1/52" (0.0192").

Veneer Face Grades

AA – Premium Architectural Face Nearly flawless; uniform color and grain; minimal or no patches. Used for high‑end panels, reception desks, and feature wall paneling.

A – Cabinet Face Smooth, clean, stain‑ready; small, well‑executed repairs permitted. Ideal for built‑ins, casework, and furniture faces.

B – Utility / Show Face Sound veneer with allowable color variation, knots, and repairs. Appropriate for semi‑visible areas, end panels, and paint‑grade millwork.

C – Back / Structural Face Visible defects and patches allowed; economical choice for concealed surfaces. Often paired as A/C or B/C to control cost while maintaining appearance on the show face.
