In this issue, we are highlighting two BOMA locals and their contributions to their communities.
Last October BOMA Silicon Valley participated in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, reflecting the local's renewed focus on community service. A team of 25 BOMA SV members, joined by family and friends, walked more than three miles at California's Great America and raised more than $2,000 to support breast cancer research. "It was a great opportunity for members to strengthen connections while contributing to an important cause," says Matthew Peralta, BOMA SV Executive Director.
In the wake of the devastating wildfires in Southern California, BOMA Greater Los Angeles organized a Second Wave donation drive. Donors contributed by purchasing items from Amazon that were shipped directly to BOMA GLA's office, while BOMA member buildings made collection bins available in their lobbies. BOMA staff organized and distributed items to help victims.
