'Tis the season! Bundle up and take the trolley from Sleepy Hollow to Tarrytown and enjoy all that the Villages have to offer this holiday season.

Stroll, shop n' save, savor foods & be merry! Check out the great line-up of activities, specials and performances planned for tomorrow:

• FREE Transportation: Take a stroll or hop-on-and-off a FREE jolly trolley or luxurious Party Bus to visit participating businesses in both Villages 
• Contest:  Visit The Bucci Real Estate Team to enter their “Ugly Sweater” contest!
• Festive Fun: Vote for your favorite festive storefront decorations
• Local Treats: Enjoy extended shopping hours, special discounts, delicious treats and festive entertainment!
• Live Performances: Get into the holiday spirit with carolers, dancers, kid’s activities & performances featured throughout the villages!

There are three forms of transportation being offered through both Villages.

Take the trolley route, the party bus route, or the shuttle bus route to visit local shops and activities.

Letters to Santa

Submit letter by Sunday, December 14th

The busiest & merriest time of the year!!!

Santa keeps checking his nice list and feels comforted to find your name on it :) Write him a letter expressing holiday cheer & throw in a few items from your wish list. He will do what he can to accommodate the requests.

Please be sure to include your FIRST & LAST NAME on your letter AND a RETURN ADDRESS so that his elves may respond back to your letter. Letters must be dropped off by no later than Sunday, December 14th, to the Recreation Center, mailbox in entranceway.

Holiday Kickoff & Tree Lighting Recap

Thank you to all who participated in our annual Holiday Kickoff last Saturday! The cold weather couldn't dampen our holiday spirits.

Santa greeted and took pictures with his distinguished guests. Children decorated Hannukah crafts and snacked on tasty chocolate coins (gelt). The Music Hall wowed spectators with spirited performances!! TaSH delivered with many wonderful food & craft vendors to help patrons get a head start on their holiday shopping. The show stopper of the event: seeing the holiday tree dazzle and gleam with warming perfection.

Trudy Dunbar Memorial 5K Turkey Trot & 1 Mile Gobbler Trot Recap

Leaving behind a trail of turkey feathers...

and tired out sneakers!

Thank you to all who participated in our annual Turkey Trot. We had over 200 5K runners & 30 1-mile runners participate in this year's race. The weather was beautifully brisk & sunny, what luck! KANA Physical Therapy led the race with a 10-minute warm-up. Division winners left with a turkey & boasting rights. Congratulations to all who placed in the top 3! Good luck to all runners on future races :)

Friends of Tarrytown Parks & Recreation

After a 4 year process, the 501 3(c) nonprofit "Friends of Tarrytown Parks & Recreation," was established on January 1, 2025. "Friends" will work closely with Parks and Recreation departments to aid and assist with providing quality programs, services, and parks modifications that are beyond routine expenses as projected by the annual budget. It serves to enhance the lives of residents by supporting Parks and Recreation.
