Queen of the Rosary School 8th Grade Service Project
May 17/18
Our graduating 8th grade class (led by the Service Project Committee) wants to leave a lasting legacy for Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish and Queen of the Rosary School. Our idea is to build a walking Rosary Path—utilizing stepping stones to form the rosary beads. Parishioners, students and teachers can enjoy this space for years to come.
We are planning a good old fashioned bake sale for THIS WEEKEND, May 17th and 18th. Proceeds from the sale will help purchase supplies for the project and we need lots of goodies to sell at Masses this weekend!
Look for our tables in the vestibule and please support our cause!

Annual Catholic Appeal: Together We Bring Hope
Thank you for your support!
This year’s theme for the Annual Catholic Appeal is Together we bring hope. It echoes the theme of the Holy Year Pilgrims of Hope. It also resonates with our efforts of renewal in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Contributions to the Appeal are an effective way to bring hope into our world, especially to those in need.
A portion of donations above our parish goal is returned to us and used for special parish projects. Thanks to past generosity, we've upgraded sound systems, security cameras and installed narthex screens. We'll soon begin restroom upgrades at both churches with proceeds from last year’s campaign!
This year’s rebate helps upgrade our playground, used year-round by both parish and school—let’s make it happen together!
| | Thank you for your generous support of the Annual Catholic Appeal—your past and present gifts make a lasting impact on our parish and the wider Church! | |
Annual Giving Impact

Gospel in Focus
May 18, 2025 Jesus gives the disciples a new commandment, to love one another. “This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” —John 13:35
Discussion Questions
When it is hard to love someone, how can we look to Jesus to guide us? Instead of getting frustrated or upset with them, what is the bestway to show them love, kindness, or compassion?
What is one way I will show love to someone else this week? Pick a specific person and decide what you will do.
What is one way that you feel particularly loved in your family?
