Culver City voters need to know if our Council Members will financially support our schools ahead of Ballot Measure CL

On July 14th, Culver City Council will be discussing Culver City Schools request to add a monetary component to our Joint Use Agreement (Item A-2 on the July 14 City Council Agenda, open session begins as early as 7pm). This financial support would help retain Culver City’s destination school district distinction. Please let the city council know you support our schools:

  1. Attend the meeting to request that the council direct staff to present options to fully fund CCUSD’s request
  2. Attend remotely and make a live virtual comment

This item is a discussion to provide direction to staff. Final action would occur once a final agreement is drafted. Any amendments to the 2025-2026 Culver City Adopted Budget will require a 4/5ths vote.

At the last CCUSD-Culver City Liaison Meeting, the subcommittee unanimously passed action to:

  1. Agendize the discussion of CCUSD's request for multi-pronged partnerships at the next possible Culver City Council meeting
  2. Recommend a special joint session of both the Culver City Council and CCUSD School Board in September
