May News for Our Teachers

The end of the school year is fast approaching! That means an increased focus on helping you track and support TCB course completions, including the required essay assignment for English students as well as Certificates of Completion for all TCB students.

To close out the 2025-2026 school year and transition to 2026-2027, we hope that you will join us at our upcoming in-person Statewide Summer Conference in Garland on June 8. You’ll find more details and the link to register below.

Register Now - Statewide Summer Conference on Monday, June 8th

Our fourth statewide conference will be held at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas on Monday, June 8. Open to representatives from all Texas LEAs and colleges, this all-day conference will provide updates on all aspects of Texas College Bridge and is also a great opportunity to engage in topical discussions and connect with peers from across the state.

Our agenda for the day will include information about the Fall 2026 launch of our new TSIA2 Test Prep program with results from our Spring pilot program, as well as EdReady platform updates such as the new, simplified process for Certificates of Completion. After our morning plenary, we’ll have lunch, followed by breakout sessions in the afternoon.

We also hope you can join us for some pre-event networking and nibbles at a Welcome Reception on Sunday, June 7 from 5-7 p.m. at the Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. To help us plan our food order, please RSVP here.

Updates on Completions

So far this year, we have recorded more than 210,000 course completions (math and English). In addition, there are nearly 11,000 English students who only need a passing essay for completion. The last day for students to work in EdReady is July 24. If you are an English instructor, please have your student’s essays graded before you begin summer vacation.

Please help us ensure that these students do not miss out on their TSI exemption because of a missing or ungraded essay.

If you are having difficulty finding and/or grading student essays, you can find assistance in our help center.

For students, we also have a short how-to video about Completing the Essay Assignment here on the expanded Student page of our website.

Claiming Certificates

As we approach the end of the school year, we are also tracking the claiming of certificates of completion - and sending emails to students to remind them to get their certificate if they have not already done so.

A reminder of the process for students to claim their certificates: Once students have completed their courses, they will need to first set up their free GreenLight Locker account. (If the student already has a GreenLight Locker account, they do not set up a new account.)

Using their GreenLight Locker, students will not only be able to instantly access their Certificate, they will also be able to share their Certificate electronically with the colleges they are interested in attending.

Guidance on helping students access and share Certificates of Completion can be found here in our help center.

For students, we also have a short how-to video about Claiming their Certificate here on the expanded Student page of our website.

If one of your students needs help with access to their certificate, please ask them to submit a support ticket here.
