Electro Scan Named to the 2026 Inc. 5000

Ranks #926 Among America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies and Ranks #49 Nationally in Artificial Intelligence & Data

Revenues Grow 373% from AI Lead Detection & Water Loss Measurement

Electro Scan Inc. is pleased to announce its ranking of #926 on the 2026 Inc 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in America. Companies are ranked according to percentage revenue growth over a three-year period and must satisfy Inc.'s eligibility and verification requirements.

Electro Scan's growth reflects increasing adoption of its patented water loss measurement technologies across three strategic markets:

• Aramco's SAER 12366 industrial pipeline integrity

• EPA's Lead & Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI)

• Water recovery verification for hyperscale data centers

"Being named to the Inc. 5000 validates the extraordinary work of our employees, customers, and business partners," said Chuck Hansen, Founder & CEO of Electro Scan Inc.

Electro Scan:

First Tech to Express Water Leaks In Gallons Per Minute (GPM)

Water utilities are changing how they manage their Non-Revenue Water. In the past, utilities were satisfied by finding one or two leaks and repairing them. Only to find more leaks on the same line.

The ability to measure multiple leaks on the same pipe, each having a unique GPM, now allows a utility to repair each leak, re-survey the line, and measure water losses that are recovered.

In fact, hyperscalers that offer to Find a Gallon, Use a GallonTM 'creating' a verifiable source for water usage at their data center, can now have their claims of water recovery & water replenishment measured. It's the difference between pre- and post-repair leakage (measured in GPM), that can be verified and periodically audited to make sure the repair has a long useful life.

FEATURE STORY

AI-Water Particle Tracing Scores Big on Inc.'s 5000 List, Ranking Electro Scan Inc. #49 in Artificial Intelligence & Data

Is your water utility tired of digging "dry holes" based on imprecise leak surveys?

Now you can make sure that field excavations find the right place to dig by seeing where water escapes the pipe. The trick is knowing where to stop the camera (inside the pipe) to capture 1-2 minutes of video. Of course, you know where to stop the camera if you are using Electro Scan's patented electrical resistance testing available in Electro Scan's DELTA and TRIDENT inspection tools.

Last week, Mike App, Executive Vice President, Electro Scan Inc. presented "CCTV of Pressure Mains? Why This Now Needs To Be In Your Toolbox!" at the annual UESI - Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute Pipelines Conference, in Detroit, Michigan.

Now the Hard Work Begins

Verifying Initial Water Service Line Inventories

As more utilities recording high lead readings in homes with Copper, Galvanized, and Plastic water service lines, the cost/benefits of potholing, instead of detail testing is getting Board room scrutiny.

Studies confirm that Copper and Plastic pipes having an equal chance of retaining lead particulates, as Galvanized pipes, retained inside their pipe walls.

Electro Scan's SWORDFISH using Electrical Resistance Testing tests for trace lead readings, in addition to creating initial inventories and field verifications. Not possible looking at the outer pipe wall from potholing.

Initial water service line inventories due November 1, 2027, but doesn't top there. Check our the EPA Dashboard.

Only electrical resistance testing is able to certify a lead-free water service line for your water customer.

SWORDFISH SE and LEAD TRACE available for sale to handle all customer and regulatory verifications of previous methods used to inventory water service lines.

Customer Updates From The Field

City of Baltimore Surpasses 9,000 Home Surveys for Lead

Congratulations to the City of Baltimore Electro Scan team for completing its 9,000th inspection for the largest-of-its-kind SWORDFISH field inspection project.

Clear River Electric & Water, NH, Selects SWORDFISH

Congratulations to Clear River Electric & Water for their recent order for SWORDFISH. The State of Rhode Island has one of the toughest laws for replacing lead water services.

S. Brunswick Township, NJ Verifies 7th Developer's CIPP

With current sewer capacity over 100%, the township needs to find, fix and remove I&I to allow ongoing real estate development. To date, Electro Scan has tested Pre- and Post-CIPP of over 15,000 LF, 8"-36" in diameter.

Later this month Electro Scan will test 1,600 LF of 20" diameter pipe.

NEW PARTNER

Water Utilities Seek Reliable Way to Measure Water Recovery & Replenishment for Data Centers

Acoustic sensors and AI can't do it. Data loggers and correlators can't either. You need to know where to dig to recover 'new' water sources. Let Electro Scan's physics-based testing record baseline defect-level water losses, expressed in GPM, and have hyperscalers provide pre- and post-repair water losses to confirm water recovery claims. You can't manage what you don't measure!

IMPORTANT TREND

More Cities & Utilities Add Electro Scan Testing to Approve Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) as Watertight

Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) first introduced in England in the 1970s has provided an important process to renew pipelines in heavily congested areas where digging is cost prohibited.

But with so many contractors offering CIPP installations, sewer & water utilities must take extra steps to ensure that CIPP will last the entire useful claimed by the contractor.

And that typically starts by making sure that the CIPP is watertight, including newly opened service locations. As well known to industry experts, if CIPP is not cured properly, if chemicals are not mixed in their correct proportions, if remote tap cutters accidentally come in contact with the liner wall, if wrinkles, ridges, fins, or folds are created, leakage of a newly lined pipe may easily exceed pre-rehabilitation defect flows. Electro Scan's ES-38, ES-400 & ES-620, are best suited for this QA/QC work.

Presenting our findings to UKSTT and winning DETECTION LOCATION, INSPECTION PRODUCT OF THE YEAR. Electro Scan has seen an overwhelming number of poorly lined CIPP.

While the CIPP industry prefers to specify Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras to visually inspect pre- and post-CIPP liners, the technical limitations of CCTV cameras, allow many poor quality CIPP projects to be approved, with major leaks.

Fortunately, sewer and water utilities can easily add specifications to their next CIPP project to verify & validate all relining projects.

And, testing can be done as soon as the CIPP is finished curing so field crews can fix or replace the liner while still in the field.

What's Coming?

"As water utilities struggle with the costs to develop Service Line Inventories for all properties, many are considering passing a local ordinance to transfer ongoing responsibility as part of all future real estate transactions."

"Just like sewer service connections!"

"The Inc. 5000 recognizes where we've been over the past three years. We're even more excited about where we're headed. Between our Leak Measurement technology, Lead & Copper Rule compliance, ability to verify water recovery metrics for data centers, and expanding software analytics, we believe Electro Scan is entering the most significant growth phase in the company's history."

"Thank you to our customers, employees, partners, and shareholders for helping make this achievement possible."

-Chuck Hansen
