JOIN THE CHOIR FOR CHRISTMAS

The Chancel Choir will present their Christmas music on

Sunday, December 6 during the morning worship hour.

Christmas Around the World

will include anthems from Canada, New Zealand, Venezuela, West Indies, Ghana, Poland, France, England and the good old USA. Rehearsals start on Wednesday, October 14 at 5:45 pm in the choir rehearsal room on the third floor of the Sanctuary building.

Come! Join us for a song!! We’d love to have YOU!!!

CASSEROLE KITCHEN

Help provide a meal for 60 people on the second Tuesday of each month! We're looking for monthly coordinators to recruit 4–6 friends, Sunday School classmates, or fellow church members to prepare and serve a meal. Sign up to lead for a month that works for you!

This Starkville Strong program rescues surplus food from local restaurants and fraternity/sorority houses and shares it with neighbors in need. SFUMC serves as a distribution site on the second Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m. We need two volunteers each month to distribute takeout meals and share a few warm wishes!

Interested in volunteering? Contact Leslie Fye at lpfye@yahoo.com.

No ongoing commitment required! Volunteer for just the date or dates that work for you. Every helping hand makes a difference!

They did it again!

Our kids are Amazing! Awesome! Such hard workers!!

They packed school supplies in 156 shoeboxes last Sunday. This begins our shoebox discipleship.

The shoeboxes are now ready for you to pick up and complete with your donations. The “Shoebox Store” will be open Sunday, October 18th and feel free to use anything in it to help fill your shoebox. We encourage families to shop together, perhaps choosing a child who is the same age as yours. Make sure you mark the enclosed label as to sex and age of child for the gifts you have chosen.

Shoeboxes are available in the Gathering Place, at each entrance to the Sanctuary and at Connection.

If you are unable to shop but would like to participate, donations are accepted and we will shop for you! You can leave your donation in the church office or drop it in the offering plate. If donating by check, note in the memo section: "Shoeboxes”. You may also place donations in one of the envelopes provided on back of the pews —again, mention “Shoeboxes.”

ALL completed shoeboxes need to be returned to church by

Sunday, November 15th.

Let’s pack a shoebox!
