THIS WEEKEND AT TRINITY

The parish picnic is this Sunday, May 31, right after the 10:30 service!

We will provide burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, and drinks. Please bring a side dish or dessert to McCracken Hall before church, and dress comfortably! We'll have a bounce house, games for kids, lots of good food and fellowship for everyone.

Last call for fun facts! Submit one thing about yourself to priscilla.kellert@yale.edu before Sunday and you'll get a list at the picnic to match facts to faces. The person with the most matches wins a prize!

We still need a few folks to help set up on Sunday morning. If you're able to pitch in, please text or call Cilla at 203-500-5350. Thank you!

A BUSY WEEK AHEAD!

There's something happening almost every day next week, so pull out your calendar!

Tuesday brings Spaghetti Supper, with dinner benefitting Honduras Missions.

Wednesday is the first Mass on the Grass of the season. Musicians gather at 5 pm in McCracken Hall (no auditions necessary), and worship begins at 6 pm on the lawn. Come hungry, bring something for the grill, and invite a friend.

Thursday, Trinity Untapped heads to The Frenchmen. RSVP to susanna.augustaparish.tec@gmail.com.

Friday, the Community in Conversation event "What Is Christian Nationalism?" begins at 6 pm in the church, with a talk by Dr. Jacob Cook of Eastern Mennonite Seminary. Free and open to all — co-hosted with Christ Lutheran and Christ United Methodist.

And Sunday, June 7, Sacred Music Week opens with an organ concert by Gen and Jon Bolena.

Gen & Jon at St. Thomas 5th Avenue, NYC, October 2017

They'll be together on Trinity's organ June 7!

INAUGURAL SACRED MUSIC WEEK, JUNE 7-12

Join us for Trinity's inaugural Sacred Music Week, June 7-12, a week of concerts, workshops, and worship open to all. The week opens with an organ concert by the Bolena Duo on June 7 at 5 pm, continues with a choral workshop on William Byrd's Mass for Four Voices on June 8 at 7 pm, and concludes with Choral Evensong on June 11 at 5 pm, sung by Trinity's Senior Choristers.

Woven through the week is Choir Camp, June 8-12, open to singers in 2nd through 12th grade for $50. On June 12 at 11:30 am, camp wraps up with a sharing session — come hear what the campers have been working on all week.

Registration is still open for Choir Camp and for the June 8 workshop!

REGISTER FOR THE BISHOP CONSECRATION

Last chance to register for the Ordination and Consecration of Bishop-Elect Karin MacPhail! Everyone who wishes to attend must register in advance. Spots are limited, so please don’t wait! Those who can’t make it in person will be able to watch via livestream. Visit dioswva.org for full details and to register.

The diocese is welcoming gifts in her honor to fund the traditional episcopal gifts: vestments, crozier, pectoral cross, and ring, all adorned with dogwood blossoms. Visit dioswva.org/make-a-gift-to-support-bishop-elect-karins-ministry to contribute, and when asked if you're giving on behalf of another church, answer: Trinity, Staunton.

Whether or not you're able to watch the consecration, there will soon be a chance to meet Bishop Karin closer to home. Trinity will be hosting the Augusta Convocation meeting with our new bishop on June 20. More details to come!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL 2026 GRADS!
