Background: Continuous fields of micro surfaces, exposed to flows of viscous fluids, can suffer from "pinning". Pinning occurs when viscous drag stops spreading of a fluid flowing across a field of micro pillars. The buildup of fluid can then flood the surface resulting in loss of wet grip. Hoowaki's team tackled this challenge. |
