TONIGHT: Saint Shop Back-to-School Sale Starts Tonight (8/9)!
The Saints Shop will be open Wednesday, August 9th from 4-7pm & Thursday, August 10, from 11am-1pm for its annual "Back-to-School Sale" in the Xavier High School Commons. Browse through a variety of gear to show your Xavier pride as we get closer to another school year. Also available will be $5 used dress code/uniform items. No early bird shopping.
 
Remember, all Saints Shop purchases directly support the students, teachers and staff of Xavier High School!
TOMORROW: iPad Pick Up for Returning 10-12 Grade Students
iPad pick up times:

  • Returning students (grades 10-12): Thursday, August 10 - 11am-1pm
  • Freshmen (at Freshmen Orientation): Monday, August 21 - 9:30am-2:30pm
  • Transfer students (at Orientation): Tuesday, August 22 - 8am-10am

Required items for iPad pick up:

  • Signed Tuition Contract
  • EFT Form (if applicable)
  • Any iPad repair fees from 2022/23 (may be brought to iPad pick up or to the Main Office prior to iPad pick up)
  • All of PowerSchool Registration completed

Students that are missing any of these items will not be allowed to pick up their iPad and will be asked to return after all are complete.
TOMORROW: Mary's Meals Summer Outdoor Benefit Concert TOMORROW (8/10)!
Inviting all Catholic school families to participate in an exciting Outdoor Summer Benefit Concert on Thursday, August 10 on the front lawn of Xavier High School from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm to raise money for MARY’S MEALS.

This fun outdoor event will feature a concert by national Catholic musician and songwriter, JOSH BLAKESLEY to support the wonderful, effective work of Mary’s Meals.

The Xavier Booster Club will begin selling grilled food and concessions at 5:30 pm. The event is sponsored by KMMK Catholic Radio, 88.7 FM.

All monies raised go directly to support the mission of Mary's Meals. The elementary school or middle school with the most participants will be awarded a popsicle party from KMMK. Please stop by the registration table when you arrive to register for your school. Mary's Meals provides over 2 million children across the globe one meal a day in their place of education.

For the price of $25.20, a child is fed the entire school year. Mary's Meals vision is that every child deserves an education – and enough to eat. This benefit is an excellent way to give back to God for his abundant blessings to us.
Reminder: Signed Tuition Contracts Needed Before iPad Pick Up
At this time we have many families that are missing their signed tuition contracts and/or payment plan. A signed tuition contract and EFT form (if applicable) are required in order for your student to pick up their iPad.

Please sign into MyBackpack and use the user ID the business office has assigned you. An example would be ASMITH1. (Do not use the one you assigned for yourself when you filled out the application.)

If you select EFT payments the August 10 payment has already been set up so you will not qualify for that first payment. Please divide your net tuition on the tuition contract by nine payments which will start September 10 and go through May. Make sure you fill in all boxes, especially the authorized monthly amount, and hit the submit button before you leave that screen. If you do not hit the submit button it will not save and it will not send.
Reminder: Volunteer Form
We ask that ALL Xavier families fill out the Xavier Volunteer Form. Currently we have received responses from about 22% of families.

There are many different types of opportunities to share your time and talent, and many hands make light work! Several of these opportunities or committees require little time commitment, have options available outside of work hours, and some can even be done from home.

Reminder: Kairos Registration for Juniors
Kairos Registration is now OPEN! Kairos is an optional retreat for juniors. We offer three weekends and they do fill up quickly so don’t delay! The weekends are:
  • Kairos 49 - October 12-15
  • Kairos 50 - February 8-11
  • Kairos 51 - April 4-7

Registration is processed through 8 to 18. Questions can be directed to lilly.boenker@xaviersaints.org
Reminder: Schedule Changes - Tomorrow (8/10) is the Last Day
First semester schedules are now available for viewing in PowerSchool. Students can make schedule changes during the following times:

Class Schedule Changes (Student Services Office):
Tuesday, August 8 – 9:00am-2:00pm
Wednesday, August 9 – 9:00am-2:00pm
Thursday, August 10 – 9:00am-2:00pm

For the best chances of fulfilling a schedule change, it is recommended that students complete requests by August 10.  
*School counselors will try to accommodate requests. Finalization of a course change request depends on class size and/or course. Please note that semester 2 schedules will be complete in December.

Here is the Master Schedule showing which classes are offered during each block. Full classes are indicated in red. Please make sure any changes you would like to make are possible before requesting.

Schedule Change Deadline
  • A course may be added or dropped within the first four school days of the semester. 
  • A course level may be changed within the first four school days of the semester. 
  • After four school days a course or level change must be initiated by the instructor with the consent of the parent/guardian.

Please understand that students will not be able to attend the first day of classes unless PowerSchool Registration is complete, all tuition from last year is paid in full, a signed tuition contract has been returned for the 2023-2024 school year, and your student has paid all fines due from the 2022-2023 school year.
REMINDER ACTION ITEM for Families Receiving an ESA
If your student is receiving an ESA this year and you have not already done so, the next step in the Students First ESA program is to indicate Xavier as the school your student plans to attend for the 2023-24 school year.

Please log in to your Odyssey Portal to complete this step NOW! 

The deadline to complete is Thursday, August 10th.
Reminder: New for 2023-2024 - All Students Participating in XHS Activities Must Be Registered on Bound
If your student is interested in participating in any extracurricular activities (FINE ARTS, ATHLETICS OR CLUBS), parents must register each student via Bound.

ALL STUDENTS planning to participate in activities must be registered on Bound. This includes fine arts, athletics and clubs.

If your student is considering participating in athletics or cheer, parents must also upload a Physical, Concussion and Permission/Release Form via Bound. These forms will now be uploaded through this process – paper forms will not be accepted in the XHS Activities Office moving forward. You will not need to print a form elsewhere.

Please do NOT upload immunization records - these must be turned in to the school nurse either via hard copy or emailed to kris.naeve@xaviersaints.org

If you can not locate a current physical (and it’s currently on file with Xavier HS), please contact the XHS Activities Office via email at pam.barta@xaviersaints.org.

If your student is planning on (or interested in) participating in multiple activities, please register for each activity. The following forms will be uploaded/signed electronically via Bound:
  • Physical Form (Required for Athletics and Cheer)
