It's Nancy Bates Book Signing Weekend!

Some of you may be celebrating Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, All Saints' or All Souls' Days this weekend, but I'm celebrating Knitting in the U.S.A.!

I've been waiting for the Nancy Bates Book Signing event for months and it's finally happening this Sunday November 2nd from 12 -3PM!

I have plenty of copies of her books on hand for purchase and signing or your can bring your own. Nancy loves seeing her patterns brought to life, so don't be shy about bringing in your completed beanies and showing off your talent!

I have many ready-to-go kits in stock, but if there's one you really want, please order online, call or email in advance so I can be sure to have the kit ready for you. And I have a special sweet gift with the purchase of any book or kit.

And remember to Fall Back on Sunday morning and enjoy your extra hour of sleep before the event...daylight savings time ends on Sunday @ 2AM!

Expanded Malabrigo Rios and Mecha Palettes

The Malabrigo yarns have been such a hit at the shop, especially Rios and Mecha. Caitlin and Will have been busy creating an expansive and eye-catching palette of both of these yarns and there are now 60 colors of Rios and 36 colors of Mecha!

Rios is soft, strong, and machine washable. It’s super soft and great for next-to-the-skin wear!

Mecha is a rare single-ply superwash merino yarn! It has a slight thick-and-thin texture, a fantastic loft, and is the perfect size for quick but not-too-heavy projects.

I combined Rios with Round Mountain Willow Worsted for my comfy Sweater No. 32 that's the class project for my Raglan Sweater class that starts on Monday. And I used 1 skein of Mecha to knit my Quick Oats baby sweater!

The November Sip & Stitch is actually the 2nd Wednesday in November. The 1 week postponement is due to my birthday and a Wine Country mini-break!
