A note from Maggie:
Martha and I have been working hard on the 8th annual Maggie Thompson Invitational (MTI). We are four months away from tournament play and are excited to get things going. As a reminder, we are raising money for Amity Hospice Thanksgiving dinners, The North Texas Food Bank, and the Community Garden Kitchen.
We received great news last week. We have secured three key sponsors!! Additionally, we have signed up four tee sponsors and one specialty sponsor. There are many other sponsorship opportunities available on the website. The more sponsors we have, the more money we give to charity.
For you golfers, it is time to sign up your teams (or as individuals and we will create a team for you) on the Maggie Thompson Invitational Website. Registration is $85.00 (plus credit card fee). This entry fee covers golf, range balls, lunch, and prize money. You can also buy your mulligans (limit 8 per team) online as well as the purchase the pay to play forward hole. Mulligans are only available online and will not be sold at the tournament.
The pay-to-play forward hole is a par 5 that you “pay” to make a par 3, thereby providing the opportunity to lower your score by 2 or 3 strokes. This year the pay to play forward hole is number 7, a par 5 over water. The cost of this opportunity is $40 per team. You can prepay for the pay-to-play forward hole online when you register.
We also have four hole-in-one contests, one for $5,000; the other three for prizes. There will be other prize opportunities on the course as well.
