Dear Jocelyn,

So far in 2025, you sent hope and healing to the Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka, Honduras, Haiti, Zambia, and Ukraine.

More teams are gearing up for Guyana, Peru, Belize, and India this year, but the mission never stops with a trip. Check out below how one mission trip is connected to many partnerships -- and creates an impact that lasts far beyond one week.

Impact Honduras

Honduras March Team

The Honduras March team returned on March 15 after serving 808 patients and providing an estimated $150,000 medical care to those in need.

This team was made strong with partnerships:

Quinnipiac University PA program sent three students and a faculty representative
Five Rotarians from the team were able to meet with the Rotary Club of Olanchito about a clean water project and the Village Health Worker Program
Dr. Oskarina Paniagua from the VIMM Village Health Worker Program in Honduras aided the team's service on clinic days
Girls' Rehabilitation Home and a local Church of God were two highlighted partnering locations for clinics

Dr. Gary Goforth – Pioneer, Adventurer, and Leader

Words do not describe well enough the impact Dr. Gary Goforth has had on the ministry of VIMM. As a VIMM Ambassador, he financially supports the organization monthly and gives an additional support to the Village Health Worker program which he has overseen and helped pioneer in Honduras. Along with his generosity, Dr. Goforth goes where a need is discovered. He has been to 13 countries with VIMM, serving as a family physician to men, women, and children without access to health care services. Having just returned from leading a medical mission to Honduras in March, he will turn around in April to speak at the Florida Academy of Family Physicians Spring Forum and teach other physicians how to lead medical mission trips.

His adventurous and stable presence with support of his lovely bride Kathy exudes ministry impact, leading trips and initiatives across the world and faithfully sharing the hope of Christ. Dr. Gary Goforth’s birthday is on April 20, 2025. Would you celebrate his birthday with us with a donation in his honor?

VHWs - Beyond One Week

Some of the most impactful work we get to be a part of is also the most behind the scenes. Village Health Workers programs are infrastructure-supporting projects that reach spaces and situations inaccessible by location or time-limitations of a short-term medical mission trip.

Much like VIMM's origin story as an organization, the program pioneered in Honduras, expanded to Haiti, and is now in the early stages of development in Zambia and Sri Lanka. These locations have an ongoing medical impact of support services and essential care by local citizens. Your support to VIMM is a support of a medical mission that lasts!
