MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CEO

Dear Friends,

As summer comes to an end and we welcome the beginning of fall, I am reminded once again of how much there is to celebrate at ECF.

Every day, across our programs, I see the dedication of our staff, the accomplishments of the children and adults we serve, and the generosity of friends who believe in our mission. Together, you help us create opportunities for people with developmental differences to learn, grow, work, create and live with greater independence.

This time of year always brings renewed energy to ECF. Our students are back in school, our programs are bustling with activity, and we are looking forward to a wonderful season ahead.

In this issue, you’ll see just a few examples of what your generosity makes possible. I hope you enjoy reading these stories and seeing the impact of our ECF community in action.

Thank you for continuing to be part of our ECF family. We are grateful to have you with us as we begin another exciting season.

Warmly,

Veronica Arteaga, LCSW

President & CEO

Sneaker Ball - A Night for Our Students

This year, ECF’s Sneaker Ball is all about ECF Kayne Eras School students.

On October 8th, Kayne Eras students will enjoy a special evening created just for them, complete with music, dancing, food, friendship and plenty of fun.

We invite you to help make the evening memorable by becoming a Sneaker Ball sponsor. Sponsorships not only help make this celebration possible, but also provide programs, equipment and experiences that enrich our students’ education throughout the year.

Help us make Sneaker Ball a night to remember!

ECF's Whittier Art Center is Open

We are excited to announce ECF has a new home in Whittier.

For more than 50 years, ECF’s Art Centers have provided artists with developmental differences with professional studio space, instruction and opportunities to develop and showcase their work.

Our new Whittier location at 7029 Greenleaf Ave. continues that tradition, providing a welcoming and creative environment where artists can explore their talents, develop their individual voices and be recognized for their work.

We look forward to sharing the incredible art coming out of our newest studio.

Thank You To U.S. Bank Foundation

Many thanks to U.S. Bank Foundation for supporting ECF's Exceptional Works programs with a Community Possible grant.

Alicia's Story: Small Moments, Big Progress

What if singing could show you just how far a child has come?

For Alicia, singing means more than a fun moment at home. It’s a glimpse of the progress she’s making through ECF’s Early Intervention program.

Since joining ECF in February, Alicia has been building skills in communication, language, social interaction, attention, and motor development—with her family alongside her every step of the way.

In a video shared by her mother, Alicia imitates songs, movements, and actions she learned during circle time at Early Start Arleta.

Watch Alicia’s story and see how small moments of learning can become meaningful steps toward greater potential.

Your support helps make these moments possible for children and families at ECF.
