Is the October SCALE meeting on your calendar?

Greetings! We hope you can join us this Friday, October 9, for the next SCALE meeting (only in person) at the Scott County Government Center (200 West Fourth Avenue West, Shakopee) in meeting room GW-170.

After the usual welcome from the Chair Chris Kostik (Credit River), we'll hear from the meeting hosts from, naturally, Scott County. As part of this update, Scott County Sheriff Luke Hennen, Jake Grussing (TES Director), and Captain Scott Haas will talk about ARMER (Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response) -- the radio network that allows deputies, officers, firefighters, and paramedics in Minnesota communicate during emergencies. The system is aging, and the bill is falling to local property taxpayers. Join us to talk about this system and why it's an important topic for all SCALE members.

And while you're already at the Scott County Government Center...

... Stick around for an overview of the 911 Dispatch and County Jail presented by Sheriff Hennen and Captain Haas. They’ll discuss the roles and responsibilities of each division, how they operate, and the important role they play in supporting public safety in Scott County.

Following their presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to see these operations firsthand with a behind-the-scenes tour of the 911/Dispatch Center and portions of the Scott County Jail. The tour will provide a closer look at the day-to-day operations of each division and give attendees a better understanding of the people and processes behind these essential public safety services.

We hope you can join us in person at the Scott County Government Center on October 9 from 7:30 to 9 AM.

The entire agenda can be found here.
