District Conference 2023

We just concluded our 45th Annual District Conference at Great Wolf Lodge.

It was a huge success and we could not have done it without you.

Thank you to everyone who attended this Conference, the Speakers, Vendors, Volunteers, ASL Interpreters, Childcare workers & Volunteers, all Official Workers, International Workers and District Staff Members.

DEXCOM

The District Executive Committee met in person on September 19, 2023 and October 3, 2023 for a regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. In addition to prayer, DEXCOM reviewed and discussed reports from District committees and personnel. The following actions were taken by DEXCOM:

Adopted the 2024 Fair Share and Church Planting budgets recommended by the Budget and Finance Committee, and referred them to District Conference.
Began working on best practices document for churches who feel they are struggling with the new policies voted on at Council 2023 regarding men and women in ministry. DEXCOM is continuing to encourage any church, pastor, or governance board with questions to contact the district office.
Brainstormed ways we can empower more pastors to be asking their lay people if God is calling them into full time ministry. Tasked the Missions Mobilization Team to help us think through this further.
Celebrated that we have church plants/greenhouse churches that are moving towards the next step in their growth.

The next DEXCOM Meeting is scheduled for November 28^th, 2023.

40 Days of Prayer

Once again, the Alliance family will launch the new year with 40 Days of Prayer.

We’ll begin on Monday, January 1, and conclude on Friday, February 9, with a livestream family celebration of what God continues to do in our midst as we remain faithful in seeking Him. This year’s prayer emphasis will focus on the various aspects of the Lord’s Prayer while we continue in this unique “now” moment we find ourselves in as a fully engaged, Christ-centered, Acts 1:8 family:

• Week 1 – Wake Up now.

• Week 2 – Pray now.

• Week 3 – His now.

• Week 4 – Worship now.

• Week 5 – Family now.

• Week 6 – Evangelize now.

Additionally, we’ll also be hosting weekly virtual prayer gatherings on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. ET led by our local Alliance churches in Columbus, Ohio. And we’ll conclude on the high note of a livestream for the Alliance family on the evening of Friday, February 9.
