Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School
Lourdes Letter
Week of November 5, 2025
Educating in Mind, Body and Spirit.
Transforming the mind, body, and spirit through academic distinction, social development, and our Catholic faith tradition.
| | | | |
Dear OLOL Families,
I mentioned in last week’s Lourdes Letter that I was going to report out some of the preliminary report that we received during our accreditation visit. The Accreditation team reviewed and scored us over 75 benchmarks located in 4 different domains. Here are some of the comments regarding their visit:
- “Religion is clearly a priority and focus of the school! This was apparent in schedules, curriculum resources, and photos.”
- “We were thrilled to hear that many staff members attend Sunday Mass and many people that we interviewed shared that they feel the school has several great faith role models.”
- “The school does an excellent job promoting and accomplishing service projects. We were impressed with how many are done, and how they come with a letter that explains the reasoning behind each project, as connected to faith.”
- “Communication from the school to all stakeholders is very effective.”
- “Communication between the school and families is excellent!”
- “Staff was very welcoming and engaged during interviews.”
- “Students seem to take ownership of Mass and they know what the expectations are and own their behaviors.”
- “Virtually all students are engaged during instruction.”
They also gave us some recommendations:
- “Schedule at least one faith retreat for all staff members during the school year.”
- “Schedule at least one faith retreat for all students during the school year where they all attend.”
- “We recommend tracking and connecting with alumni of the school.”
I found this last one to be very interesting. I know we have some alumni parents here at OLOL.
Please reach out to me if you want to put together some sort of alumni listing.
I was very pleased by the report and I could tell they were impressed with what we have here at OLOL. I am very grateful that God gave me the blessing to be at this school at this time.
The accreditation and feedback from conferences showed me that we have improvements to make. I have work to do to make OLOL the best environment for teaching and learning. These improvements come from hearing from others and our parents. Even though conferences are over, all stakeholders should continue to reach out with concerns and questions. The more we hear from you, the better learning environment we can provide.

NEW
'Track it Forward"
How to enter and track your TSF Hours
| | | |
We have made tracking your volunteer hours much simpler while also providing anytime access to the hours you have already logged. Track It Forward (TIF) is the new intuitive and easy-to-use online platform for tracking all your OLOL volunteer hours – TSF, Light Up Lourdes, and Athletics.
As TSF hours are measured by the household, each household has one account under
the mother’s email address which also acts as the TIF account username. If a child
lives in multiple homes, both parents have accounts using their email addresses
provided to OLOL.
For instructions on how to set up your TIF account, please see below. Once in the program, logging your hours is very straightforward, but if you have any questions about the program, please contact Megan Lehmann at Megan.Lehmann05@gmail.com or call/text 920-362-2322.
Additional information can be found here.

Mary’s Heart
in a Martha’s World
A Mentorship Journey
for Moms
Do you long for more peace, presence, and purpose amid the busyness of motherhood? Join us for Mary’s Heart in a Martha’s World — a mentorship journey designed to connect mothers across generations in a faith-centered community.
Rooted in the biblical story of Mary and Martha, this program invites women to cultivate a “Mary’s heart” of spiritual focus and rest while faithfully serving in a “Martha’s world.”
Through guided mentorship, seasoned moms walk alongside younger mothers, sharing wisdom, encouragement, and practical tools for balancing faith, family, and life’s demands.
Together we’ll grow through:
- Generational Connection – Building bonds between moms of all ages.
- Faith & Growth – Grounding life in Scripture and spiritual renewal.
- Practical Support – Finding grace in daily routines and responsibilities.
- Community & Belonging – Encouraging one another to live with intention and peace.
Come discover how to nurture your faith, strengthen your family, and find rest for your soul — living with Mary’s heart in a Martha’s world.
If you are interested, please contact the Parish Office, or email Heather Verhagen (hbenjamin773@yahoo.com) to sign up. Additional information will be sent to all those interested.
