Well it took 4 years but global tourism is set for full recovery by the end of this month. Most regions are exceeding 2019 levels, some with double digit growth. New hotels are popping up all over and the big 3 cruise companies are building 40 new ships! All in all excellent news for economies all around the world. What a year it was! Our BEST ever! This year our clients travelled to France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, the Dominican, Mexico, Barbados, Jamaica, Hawaii, California, Chicago, Las Vegas, Florida, British Colombia and Alberta.
One trend that is emerging is many wish to go "off the beaten path" ..to unique destinations that are less familiar and where you can experience an authentic connection. Another trend is that more people are travelling off-season...to reap the benefits of less tourists and the ability to quietly enjoy the "every day life" of a destination.
This Fall we visited Corsica and I would consider this a perfect "off the beaten path destination" It would also be a perfect Honeymoon spot! On the same trip we were also in Villefranche-S-Mer (Cote d'azur) and then Barcelona, Spain.
