Advocacy, Empowerment, Healing, and Perseverance: Whitley’s Journey

Whitley English understands the profound impact a strong community and support system can have, yet she also recognizes the importance of self-advocacy, self-empowerment, and perseverance. These values define her work as a mother, a healer, and a community social worker trained in trauma awareness & resilience skills. As a MHO resident at Maple Crest Apartments, Whitley demonstrates that compassion and determination are the threads that weave a stronger community, work she’s eager to share with others. As Whitley says, “Community means working together for one cause, for peace and unity.”
