Imperfect Allies: Children of Opposite Sides
Acclaimed playwrights and performers Jewish-American Judith Sloan and Palestinian-American Najla Said, present a new work-in-progress, Imperfect Allies: Children of Opposite Sides, that uses the tools of art and diplomacy to work for justice and peace and an end to the escalation of violence in Palestine, Israel, and the region. Through performance, memories, dialogue, images, poetry, and humor, Sloan and Said explore how their personal histories shape them and compel them forward. Imperfect Allies was conceived of several years ago, but found new resonance in the midst of the current situation. Sloan and Said come together in this soul-breaking moment to find tangible ways to have increasingly difficult conversations. Come on the journey that these two women take on the bumpy road to making this piece which challenges even the strongest relationship.
