EPA Finalizes Ban on Trichloroethylene (TCE)

Today, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a final rule to ban trichloroethylene, a dangerous toxic chemical that studies have shown to be an unreasonable risk to human health, including up to a 500% increased risk of Parkinson’s disease.

This action is the culmination of long-standing calls from environmental and health organizations like the Brian Grant Foundation and the Davis Phinney Foundation that issued a joint statement applauding the EPA's ban on TCE.

We are appreciative of the tireless work of advocates, including our founder, Brian Grant, who spoke about his exposure to TCE at an environmental symposium in Washington, DC earlier this year. You can learn more about the ban by visiting the EPA's website.

You can also help us continue to push for policies that are important to the Parkinson's community by making a donation today. Thanks to our partners BasX Solutions and WYLD CBD, all donations received before midnight on December 31, 2024 will be matched, up to $30,000. We are incredibly grateful to our generous donors and advocates who make our efforts possible.

Power Forward,

Katrina Kahl
