Strategic Plan Action Item Updates

Strengthening Families Parents will have the tools and resources they need to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of themselves and their children.

Chad is holding Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) - classes at Sawyer Elementary School. Classes are in person, include childcare and a meal and are open to all parents living in Door County.

More classes coming - watch our website and Facebook page

We have brought Bob Shogren on to lead online Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) classes.

Meet the Trainer

Bob Shogren – Bob has been a successful Triple P Parenting Trainer since 2020 and has led many Triple P programs and trained hundreds of parents over the last 5 years. He has seen firsthand the remarkable difference that Triple can make in the lives of parents and their children. What he finds most remarkable about the program is that Triple P provides effective, common sense strategies that help parents make a positive shift in the relationship they have with their children in as little as three weeks! Bob grew up in Sturgeon Bay, graduated from SBHS, and has recently returned home after a 40 year career in Arizona as a middle school teacher, school district administrator, state government administrator and nonprofit leader.

School Readiness Children of all ages will come to school socially and emotionally ready to learn.

  • We continue to support the efforts of the Welcome Baby program. This program provides resource information and support to mother's who live in Door County either prenatally or at birth to ensure baby has the best start to life. Connecting early makes a positive impact on the family and greatly increases the child being successful at school.
