Technology Updates
Thank you for helping students adjust to using district-issued devices this year. In addition to their Chromebooks and chargers, all students have also received a privacy cover for their device webcams.
Now that we are a few weeks into the year, all students should be establishing routines with their devices. Please help remind your student to fully charge their device each evening and bring it with them to school each day. Devices should be fully closed when not in use.
If your student experiences any tech issues with their device, they should bring it to the library as soon as possible so that the problem can be diagnosed and corrected, or a loaner device can be issued. Please email Mrs. Morgan if you have any questions.

Springboro Schools helps families access important student information such as testing results and academic progress through two platforms: Abre and ProgressBook ParentAccess. Returning Springboro families should already have access to both platforms. Families of kindergarten students and students who are new to the district will receive an email in early September with login and registration information for both Abre and ProgressBook ParentAccess. The email will include the information families need to connect their account to their student’s school information, including a registration key or family token code.
If you do not receive this information by Friday, September 4, please contact our Technology Help Desk at borohelpdesk@springboro.org.

Registration Gateway
The Back-to-School Registration Gateway is now open for 2026-2027. Parents must access and complete all annual forms required to be electronically signed each school year. This also allows you to review the information that the school has on file for your student(s), update medical and/or contact information and provide persons authorized to sign your student out of school if needed.
The District requires this information to be completed as soon as possible each school year and no later than September 30th.
As a reminder, completion of these forms is a requirement for any student to attend school field trips.
Parents/guardians should log in to the system through their youngest student to update all students in the family.
Username - Youngest's Student ID (omit the word "go" if listed in ID)
Password - Date of Birth (MMDDYYYY)*
*8-Digit Birthdate, No Dashes/Slashes, No Spaces
Then, follow the prompts to input your demographics, emergency contacts, medical information, acceptable use policy, media release, etc.
Address changes cannot be updated in the "Current Student Registration Gateway."
If you have an address change or any other questions for a Junior High School student, please contact Denise Swope at dswope@springboro.org

Sandy Hook Promise
The State of Ohio has two laws that require schools to provide educational opportunities focused on the importance of emotional and physical safety of students and staff. To create safe and supportive learning environments in Springboro Junior High School, we will be focusing throughout the year on Erin’s Law and House Bill 123 (Safety and Violence Education, SAVE Our Students Act).
Under HB123, students in grades 6-12 are required to receive one hour of instruction in social inclusion, one hour of instruction in violence prevention, and one hour of instruction in suicide prevention per school year. These topics are crucial for fostering a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting positive relationships among students, and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to navigate challenges they will face throughout their lives.
The Third lesson on suicide prevention will be take place on October 28th. We will be utilizing resources from the Sandy Hook Promise.
ABOUT SANDY HOOK PROMISE
Sandy Hook Promise is a national nonprofit organization led by several family members who lost loved ones at the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on December 14, 2012. Our sole purpose is to prevent gun violence so that no other parent experiences the senseless, horrific, and preventable loss of their child.
Sandy Hook Promise prevents gun violence by teaching adults and youth how to recognize the signs and signals of individuals who may be at-risk of hurting themselves or others, and how to intervene to get them help. We train youth and adults, at no cost, in four evidence-based “Know the Signs” programs. For more information on Sandy Hook Promise, please visit: www.sandyhookpromise.org.
We recognize parents play a vital role in their child’s education and we value your partnership. We believe that working together with families creates the most supportive environment for our students. However, we understand families may have different comfort levels with this subject matter. If you do not wish for your child to participate in these lessons, please click HERE. If you have further questions, please contact Leslie Christofano at lchristofano@springboro.org

Free and Reduced Meals Application
Families who believe they qualify for the Free/Reduced Meal program will need to fill out our online application for approval. Our online application is the fastest way to qualify for the Free/Reduced Meal program. Families have to fill out an application every school year for their student(s) to receive benefits.
Click Here to Fill Out Our Online Application for the Free/Reduced Meal Program
If you would prefer to fill out a paper application, please return a completed form to Kelsey Armour at Springboro Central Office - 1685 S Main Street, Springboro, OH 45066.
If you are currently approved for the Free/Reduced Meal Program, you would have thirty (30) school days to submit a new application before your benefits expire from last school year.
Food Allergy/Special Dietary Needs Form
Does your student have a Food Allergy/Intolerance or Special Dietary needs? If you have not previously filled out our form, we need you to fill out a Special Diet and Food Allergy Accommodation Form for any student that has a food allergy, special diet or needs a food substitution or accommodation within their school lunch. This does not need to be filled out annually, only when/if information changes. This is different from the Allergy Emergency Action Plan.
We do need this filled out EVEN if you have provided this information previously to your school nurse in another way, such as through registration gateway.
Please submit this form to either Kelsey Armour or your building clinic nurse.

District Safety
As a district, we are committed to responding to any threat toward a safe school environment. We have a wonderful partnership with the City of Springboro and Clearcreek Township. Our District Crisis Team assesses safety protocols regularly, and we remain in constant communication, as needed, with our two (2) School Resource Officers (SROs), as well as the officers of the Springboro PD and Clearcreek Twp. Police Officers will continue to periodically walk through our school buildings, along with our full-time SROs, throughout the school year.
