Dear All Saints' Parents and Families,
Here's what's going on in the wonderful world of Children's Ministries:
Heart of a Hero: A 5-Week Series on Joseph
Series Overview (for Kindergarten/ 1st Graders and 2nd/3rd Graders):

Everyone loves a good superhero story, and every superhero story has a few things in common. No superhero started out as a superhero — they became heroes because of the way their circumstances shaped them, because of the choices they made, and because of the ways they decided to stand up for others. There aren’t any superheroes in the Bible, but there is someone named Joseph who both experienced injustice and let God use him to fight injustice, just like Jesus did.

In this 5-week series, kids will discover that Jesus is our hero, God helps us become heroes, heroes make wise choices, heroes help others, and heroes need help too. We are currently on Week 3 of the series.

Click the link below to view a week by week guide to the Bible readings and Big Ideas for each Sunday.
When you think about heroes, we often think of brave and strong people who do extraordinary things, but you are a hero to your child when you love them, encourage them, guide them, and stand by them. You are the biggest influence in their lives, and the one who they look to for wisdom and guidance. Even when you don’t feel like it, you’re a hero.

We want to know: who’s your favorite super hero, and why? Reply to me at kroberts@allsaintsatlanta.org and we will share it with the kids – they want to know!

Undie Sunday
Start thinking about what size and design of underwear you might want to buy with your kids to bring to Undie Sunday on October 27 in support of Threads, our children's clothing ministry. Threads need all sizes and all kinds. More details to come!
Sign Up to Help with Children's Church
Please help!

All parents are invited to take a turn helping during our Children's Church over the course of the year. I am always amazed at the things that our kids share as we talk about the stories of our faith. They stretch my own understanding of the stories and help to form my faith each week. Please sign up to come learn and worship with us!
Sign Up to Lead Little Saints' Church
We're blessed to have an extremely competent and caring paid staff to help care for our youngest saints. The staff is supported by you, parent volunteers, who in many ways to create a place where the love of God and Jesus is lived out in ways that will help every child to grow.

We can't do it without your help, so please sign up for a few Sundays throughout the year. We will show you what to do, but mainly, we just need you to be present and share yourself with these children.
Register for our Annual Parish Retreat to Kanuga
If you haven’t registered yet, please go online and do it as soon as you can! The deadline is September 23.

We are making cabin arrangements and determining how many volunteers we need to make our adult to child ratio correct for our Saturday morning activities. If you are interested in helping with either a hike for K-3rd graders (led by the Kanuga Staff) or the ropes course for our 4th and 5th graders, please let Jill Gossett know ASAP. Her email address is jgossett@allsaintsatlanta.org .
Reminders
  • We have a NEW parent webpage with tons of information about what we do and what's new, including downloadable calendars!
  • If you haven't already, please register your children for Children's Formation and Children's Choirs for the 2019-2020 program year.
