Join the League in Celebrating a Wonderful Year!

93rd Annual Meeting

Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 5 PM

Hybrid Meeting - in person and via Zoom

April 21, 2025

Dear Members of The League,

We’re pleased to share with you the ballot for the proposed slate of Officers for the Fiscal Year 2025 Board of Directors. It’s an exciting time as we look ahead to working alongside this dedicated and talented group. We encourage you to take a few moments to read through the candidate bios—and then cast your vote to endorse your support of the new Board of Directors!

You’ll find instructions on the ballot for submitting your vote online. Alternatively, you’re welcome to mail your completed and signed ballot to League HQ. If mailing, you may also return the ballot in a sealed envelope and simply sign and print your name on the back of the envelope so we can verify your membership before including your vote in the count.

To ensure your vote is counted, please submit it by May 19—three business days before our meeting. All ballots received by then will be tallied on the morning of May 20 by an independent party. Please note that all ballots will remain anonymous during the tallying process.

You can also expect to receive our FY 2025 Annual Report by May 8, giving you time to review it before our Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 22 at 5:00 PM. As in past years, the meeting will be a hybrid event—with the option to join us in person at League HQ or participate virtually via Zoom. We welcome and encourage all supporting and juried members to attend.

More details on how to join the meeting—either in person or online—will be shared soon. We’re looking forward to connecting with you and sharing in this important moment for the League.

Kate Saunders

Executive Director

Agenda items for the Annual Meeting include:

  • Announcement of Board officers
  • LNHC Annual Report
  • Presentation Featuring the Strategic Plan & Looking Ahead to Next Year
  • Information about how to get involved more including the nomination process for leadership and volunteer roles

The link for the meeting and specific instructions for participation will be sent out to the League membership via email pm May 8, 2025 with the Annual Report two weeks prior to the meeting. The information will also be posted on our website on this supporting member news page: nhcrafts.org/league-member-news as well as in the Communications section of the Juried Member area of the website.

As part of our recent bylaw updates, we have adjusted the size of the Board of Directors, reducing the cap from 19 to 12 members. For decades, the Board has typically operated with 10–12 members, and this change better reflects that historical practice. This was the only substantive difference from the Articles of Agreement, which previously set the cap at 19. Aligning the bylaws with our governance history ensures a more effective and streamlined Board structure. The organizational charts, updated Bylaws, Committee charters and nomination process documents have all been added to the juried member administration page, and the "League Member News" page for supporting members. We look forward to growing our engagement with the membership and will be looking to add new members to the Board, new committees and opportunities for volunteering to support the legacy of community building and the voice of the membership in all we do.
