We are excited to welcome counselors, teachers, and administrators to a new Grief Talk at The WARM Place! This training will address the common question, "how can I help," and address ways to best support friends, family, and students after a death loss. We will help to develop a better understanding of grief reactions and discuss ways to walkalong side others in their grief journey.

This training is designed for anyone who is supporting someone who is grieving, as well as for teachers, school counselors and administrators who provide support to children who are grieving in a school setting.

Learning topics will include:

  • Common characteristics of grief in children and adolescents
  • Myths of grief
  • Helpful strategies and activities
  • Practical tools when working with children who are grieving at different age levels

These informative and interactive sessions will include a brief overview of our grief support program, as well as the opportunity for your questions to be answered by our WARM Place program team. WARM Place tours will also be provided at the end of our sessions to anyone interested.
