We know many of our nonprofit partners have been looking for our Community Impact Fund grant opportunity. In keeping with 2020, we've changed the course!

By expanding the Emergency Impact Fund, we can now support more organizations of all types in efforts to combat and overcome the effects of COVID-19.

The Emergency Impact Fund has granted support to over 50 area organizations and new needs are identified nearly every day. Great and necessary work is able to continue thanks to the generosity of our neighbors and partners who recognize the important role nonprofits play in our communities.

Sustainability of our community’s resources will be a heavy focus of funding decisions. We want the Ohio Valley to shine through and beyond the pandemic with rich cultural, recreational and supportive opportunities!

Previous applicants to the initial Emergency Impact Fund are invited to submit new applications as submissions will not be carried over.

As with the original Emergency Impact Fund process, applications will be reviewed and considered as long as funding is available.

Philanthropy WV Goes Virtual
Our friends at Philanthropy West Virginia will be hosting a virtual annual conference next month!

Here's more from their website:
As a state, Appalachian region, and rural communities, we are grappling with multiple layers of challenges and inequities amid the pandemic, economic downturn, and pre-existing economic divide. In the midst of so many challenges, we are finding opportunities as we work collectively as locally based to nationally focused foundations, companies, donors, and other funders on how to transform rural focused on equity and community to a better place after these ties.
This year’s theme is Transforming Rural Through Equity and Community.

In addition to the conference activities, nominations are being accepted for the Spirit of Philanthropy Awards, which celebrate and recognize philanthropic efforts.

Registration for the event is now open - you can explore that and more by visiting here.
