Consular services

Online appointment system a for

Life Proof Certificates (remote)

The online appointment system now allows citizens to schedule appointments for remote (non-presential) Life Proof Certificates, providing greater convenience for those who require this service without having to visit the Consulate in person.

As previously communicated, this system also remains available for consular services that require RENAPER’s intervention —specifically DNI and passport applications— and has become a key tool in streamlining access to these high-demand services, and will continue to be progressively expanded to incorporate additional consular procedures.

For DNI, passport, and Life Proof Certificates, Argentine citizens are reminded that appointments must be requested exclusively through our official website:

https://cnyor.cancilleria.gob.ar/es/turnos-online

Given the high number of unattended appointments, we kindly remind citizens who have booked and confirmed a slot to arrive on the scheduled date and time. If unable to attend, we respectfully ask that you notify us in advance so the appointment may be reassigned, allowing us to better serve the community as a whole.

Our Networking Breakfast series continues

As part of our ongoing Networking Breakfast series, we welcomed an outstanding group of Argentines who are making their mark across economics, technology, social innovation, fashion, journalism, consulting, the performing arts, and the creative industries in New York.

Professors, entrepreneurs, machine learning engineers, designers, artists, and leaders from international organizations came together in an open exchange that reflected the talent, diversity, and global impact of Argentina’s community abroad.

Special thanks to Florencia López Boo, Carolina Goncebat, Candelaria Mas, Delfina Baldassare, Camila Arostegui, Diego Deleersnyder, Facundo Godoy, Martín Baigorria Alonso, Sofía Ameglio, Marcela Bragagnolo, and Ian Fresco for contributing their insights and helping strengthen our professional network.

"Pure Emotion"

by

Rocky Cervini

In Pure Emotion, Argentine visual artist Rocky Cervini explores the vulnerability of the human figure through a conceptual and material journey where words and matter become symbolic instruments. Drawing on her parallel practice as a translator, Cervini treats language and image as interconnected signifiers: lived experience becomes gesture, gesture becomes form, and form returns to life on canvas.

"As a translator and visual artist, I use words and matter as symbolic instruments to represent signifiers. In a conceptual-material-immaterial journey, I conceive my characters from an experiential mark, I turn them into pictorial representations and there they come back to life, dialoguing with the observer to leave an incorporeal mark in the memory of the experience.

The figures I portray, both dissociated and coexisting, embody the vulnerability of bodies in the face of an adverse world from which they cannot protect themselves. They remain submerged and immobile, trembling, howling, hurting, and merging with each other. Their gestures and silences hint at untold stories, echoes of experiences that reveal the deep connection between physical and emotional suffering" (Artist's statement)

"Transitions of Form"

by

María Emilia Cattaneo

In Transitions of Form, through a rigorous and poetic exploration of structure, light, and material, Argentine artist María Emilia Cattaneo investigates the plane as an active force capable of generating volume, spatial relationships, and perceptual transformation.

In the artist's words, "My artistic practice is based on the study of the plane and its possibilities for transformation. I conceive of the plane not as a two-dimensional surface, but as an active structure capable of generating volume, space, and perceptual relationships.

I work with folded planes that are articulated as units within a system. Each work is organized based on rules, metrics, and structures that establish dynamic links between the parts, where sequencing functions as a structural and compositional principle.

Through the use of materials such as Plexiglas and mirrored stainless steel, I explore optical phenomena related to color and reflection. The fold introduces new spatial dimensions: it interrupts the continuity of the plane, multiplies its orientations, and generates areas of shadow, absorption, and reflection".

On view through March

This exhibition presents Bruno Rodríguez Maraude’s ongoing exploration of geometry, everyday objects, and upcycling as a contemporary artistic practice. Through precise geometric structures, color, and repetition, familiar materials are transformed into dynamic compositions that balance order and emotion. Drawing on his architectural background, the artist invites reflection on material memory, consumption, and the creation of new meanings at the intersection of art, design, and architecture.

Through March

Mondays to Fridays 10 am to 5:00 pm

12 W 56th St., New York 10019 NY

In this exhibition, visual artist and psychologist Marcela Hoffer explores the healing power of art. In this series, she uses the creation of new shapes and forms derived from Argentine’s provincial symbols and icons. Through these circular forms, she explores her Argentine heritage, particularly inner distances, opening space for wholeness, balance, and transformation.

Marcela was born and raised in Buenos Aires, and moved to New York City as a young adult. Her project deconstructs familiar Argentine forms and reassembles them into emergent ones. The work creates a contemplative space in which perception can soften, allowing insight, integration, and embodied understanding.
