CAI Greater Houston, Austin, and San Antonio Chapter Members,
We are excited to announce that Claire Idell, CAE, has been selected as the new Executive Director for the CAI Greater Houston, Austin, and San Antonio Chapters! Claire will officially begin her role on November 2 and will be available to connect with members across all three chapters at that time.
Throughout the search process, the search committee conducted a thorough evaluation of applicants, carefully considering the experience, leadership, and vision needed to support CAI’s continued growth and success in Texas. We are confident that Claire is an excellent fit for CAI and will help lead the organization into a strong and successful future.
Claire brings more than 14 years of experience in association and nonprofit leadership, with expertise in strategic planning, membership development, stakeholder engagement, and program management. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Engagement & Member Relations for the Marine Technology Society, where she led membership, communications, and programs during a period of significant growth and transformation. As a Certified Association Executive (CAE) since 2015, Claire is passionate about building vibrant professional communities and delivering meaningful value to members.
Claire shared her enthusiasm about joining CAI and the opportunity ahead:

Throughout my career, I've seen firsthand how professional associations bring people together to learn, connect, and elevate their industry through collective expertise. I'm looking forward to building relationships across the CAI community in Texas, learning from our members, and contributing to the chapters' continued growth and success."
