Hi Friends,

As most of you know, Monday is Valentines Day. Most of us think of it as a cheesy day full of chocolate, flowers, and stuffed animals. When you're a kid, it's an exciting day to decorate a little mailbox or bag at school to exchange Valentines Day cards and heart shaped treats. But aside from all of the hoopla and potential cheesiness of the day, what is at the center of it? LOVE. Love is at the heart (pun intended) of the day! While it's often time related to romantic love, I think it's a time to focus on loving all of the people around you whether that be your family, your friends, an acquaintance, or even a stranger.

One of my favorite Bible verses is from 1 Corinthians 16:14 where the Apostle Paul says, "let all that you do be done in love." What can you do to make sure that everything you are doing is done with love and compassion? I challenge you during this Valentines week to dig deep and find enough love to spread around to everyone around you. That could be writing someone a heartfelt note, smiling at a stranger on the street or being kind to someone who might give you grief. You truly never know how one act of love can completely change someone's life!

Peace,
Hope
