Leadership, Legacy, and the Fight Forward
February 22nd @7PM CT Zoom
Join Indivisible Illinois for a dynamic virtual conversation honoring the leaders, movements, and everyday changemakers who have shaped our democracy and those carrying that work forward today.
‘
We will hear from students, community leaders, elected officials, and historians who are making an impact right now, advancing equity, protecting civil rights, strengthening democratic institutions, and building power in their communities. Together, they will reflect on the legacy of those who came before them and share how that legacy informs the work ahead.
Our speakers are:
Betty Magness: Civil Rights Leader/ Political Director Rainbow Push
Carol Ammons: Illinois State Representative
Letisa Wallace: Former Illinois State Representative
Brenda Rogers: Win With Black Women Illinois
Jarrell David: Young Democrats of Proviso Township
This conversation is about more than remembrance. It’s about responsibility. It’s about organizing. It’s about the fight forward.
Whether you are a longtime advocate or just getting involved, this event will leave you informed, inspired, and ready to acT!
