Hospice cares, and that’s why the more money they have available to aid those in need – the better. Through the Chamber, Prince George Hospice was able to have a free carbon footprint analysis done through UNBC’s Carbon Management Class. By taking advantage of the recommendations made by UNBC students, Hospice applied for a specialized FortisBC rebate and purchased an energy-efficient furnace. Already these proficiency changes have begun to take effect; lowering Hospice’s operating expenses and allowing more cash to be invested in expanding their services for those in need.
