New Board Member Appointed to Fill Class "A" Residential Seat

The Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors extends its sincere appreciation to Jennifer Ericksen for her dedicated service and valuable contributions during her time on the Board. Following the recent sale of her home and relocation outside of Sea Pines, Jennifer has resigned from the Board of Directors. We are grateful for her commitment and the time she devoted to supporting and enhancing the Sea Pines community.

In accordance with the Sea Pines CSA Bylaws regarding the replacement of a Class A Residential Property Owner Board position, the Class A Board of Directors has elected Jessica Haire to fill the remainder of Jennifer’s term, effective October 6, 2025, through December 2027.

Please join us in welcoming Jessica to the Board of Directors. A Sea Pines property owner since 2021, Jessica has been actively serving on the Community Infrastructure & Maintenance (CIM) Committee. She holds a B.S in Civil Engineering from George Washington University, an M.A. from American University and a J.D. from American University/Washington College of Law.  Jessica brings hands-on experience in infrastructure design and on-site project engineering.

Formerly, Jessica worked for Thompson Hine LLP, then left to start the DC office of Burr & Forman LLP, a nationwide law firm, where she is partner and represents federal contractors in all aspects of government contracts and construction projects—from transactional matters and litigation to negotiations and debarment proceedings.

We are excited to welcome Jessica Haire to the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors and look forward to the expertise and perspective she brings to our community.

Sea Pines CSA Seeks Resolution with Marriott Grande Ocean Owner's Association

Last month the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors authorized the filing of a civil lawsuit against the Marriott Grande Ocean Owner’s Association for not paying the Critical Infrastructure portion of their Sea Pines CSA annual community services assessment. Grande Ocean owners and guests have historically been allowed to enter Sea Pines and enjoy the common properties, under a series of agreements—some of which predate CSA. It is CSA’s contention that, in exchange for this, Grande Ocean was obligated to pay an amount per unit that is equal to the full Sea Pines Plantation annual assessment. Grande Ocean contends that it does not have to pay CSA the Critical Infrastructure portion of their annual community services assessment. In response to the Complaint, Grande Ocean has filed a motion to dismiss and counterclaims. We cannot make any further statements about this matter, as it is legal in nature and will be resolved through the civil legal process.
