Our Fiscal Cliff: 2026–2027

Our federal grant, which has sustained all of our staff and programs for three years, ends on September 30, 2026.

What Does It Mean?

  1. We will not have enough funding to fully support our operations.
  2. We will continue to prioritize case management and allocate most of our available funding to this program.
  3. We will need to rely heavily on volunteers for the majority of our work.
  4. We will need to drastically reduce the number of community events we can offer. :(
  5. We will focus on mental and behavioral health services for Ukrainian refugees. This work is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation.
  6. We will pilot workforce development on Cape Cod, funded through the Kelly Foundation and Cape Cod Foundation.

Keep our ESOL program alive - Help us to raise $30K

A heartfelt thank you to our generous monthly donors! Now, we urgently need everyone's support to sustain the only free ESOL program for Ukrainians. Your contributions will help us pay our dedicated ESOL teacher, Julia Shkidchenko, who is also a refugee and the most beloved teacher in our community. We only pay refugee teachers; the rest of our team is made up of passionate volunteers. Please scan the QR code and share it widely with your networks. Together, we can make a difference!

New Staff

Viktoriia Mandryka rejoined Olga's List in February 2026 and immediately made a huge difference. Within months, she assisted hundreds of new clients through intake, problem-solving, referrals to other services, talking with them, and supporting every new family! She is full of energy and optimism, despite the fact that, as a refugee, she too faces the same barriers and uncertainty as the rest of our community. In fact, like many of our clients she lost her work authorization again, and became a volunteer now. But Viktoriia is not letting it affect her work. She is a fighter and a bright spirit!

Numbers

With heightened uncertainty around work, immigration

possibilities, and fear of losing the roofs over their heads,

more Ukrainian refugees found us. Since January, we (Viktoriia really) added 350 new clients!

We are serving 950

people today!

30 on average ESL students are still enrolled in our English program weekly
