NASDDDS Adds Two New Team Members

The National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS) is pleased to announce the expansion of its policy and communications team, reflecting the association’s continued commitment to strengthening support for members and enhancing the delivery of timely, high-quality information and engagement.

As part of this expansion, NASDDDS welcomes Isa Chudzik and Emily Roberts, whose combined expertise in communications, research, policy, and event coordination will further advance the association’s ability to serve state IDD leaders.

Isa Chudzik joins NASDDDS with a strong background in communications, research, and event coordination, grounded in civic engagement and public service. She has worked with national nonprofit organizations supporting democratic participation, media freedom, and community engagement, contributing to editorial projects, research initiatives, and large-scale events. Isa holds a degree in Political Science with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies and brings a passion for clear, accessible communication that supports inclusive and effective public systems.

Emily Roberts brings experience in editorial leadership, event support, and client relations. A graduate of American University, she developed a strong foundation in journalistic writing and editing through roles across multiple publications. Her professional background includes supporting external-facing initiatives for associations and delivering high-touch communications and project management informed by her experience in hospitality. Most recently, Emily served at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, where she supported large-scale conference operations and provided high-level service to key professionals in the biotechnology industry.

Together, Isa and Emily strengthen NASDDDS’ capacity to support members through expanded policy engagement, strategic communications, and enhanced member education and events. NASDDDS is excited to welcome them to the team and looks forward to the impact of their contributions in service to our members and state IDD systems nationwide.
