Hi swimmers,
We hope you had a great summer. Our fall swim is coming up soon! The early entry fee ends tomorrow, September 02. Fees go up $5 after that.

Vista Point, Jordan Lake - ~1k, 1m, 2m options
8:00AM start time
The races are all triangular courses with right-shoulder turns. The 2 mile is 2 laps of the 1 mile course. ~1k swimmers use the interim site buoys as their turn buoys.
The water temp is pretty warm right now, but we expect it to fall under the 78 degree wetsuit legal temp by race day. You can keep track here.
Upcoming open water clinic - September 17
Coach Marty of One Step Beyond is hosting a 3 hour open water swim clinic at Jordan Lake on Sep 17. You can read all the details and sign up here.
T-shirts:
Please sign up for the Championship swim by September 18 to guarantee a t-shirt.
We'll start pickup around 6:45. You should arrive no later than 7:30 to get your stuff and get situated. Our check-in volunteers are mostly swimmers as well, so if you roll up at 7:55 don't be surprised no one is there to check you in.
Parking:
Please follow the directions of the parking volunteers. We have to guide you into parking spots in order to maximize efficiency and keep the park happy. No parking on the side of the road anywhere within the park. If you see orange cones blocking something...that means don't drive through there!
Pre race briefing:
We'll go over the course and do our best to answer any questions around 7:45 at the boat launch / docks.
Awards:
Our awards for the Championship swim are: For the ~1k: top 3 overall male / female. For the 1 and 2 milers: Top 3 overall m/f, top 3 in five-year age groups, and top 1 master male/female.
Goodies:
We'll have Great Harvest bread, bananas, cookies, and drinks available after the swim.
Registration cutoff:
Registration closes on Friday, September 30 at 11:59pm.
No on site registrations are available.
Please don't wait until the last minute. The last thing we want to do is say no, but we might have to.
Equipment:
Wetsuits are allowed if the water temp is under 78 degrees (it should be but no guarantee).
Swim Safety devices are allowed. Snorkels are allowed.
Fins, buoys, and paddles are not allowed.
Good attitudes and fun people are encouraged. :P

1 mile fee: $35 + processing until 1mo prior, then $40 + processing
2 mile fee: $45 + processing until 1mo prior, then $50 + processing

Race Day Weather policy:
In the case of inclement weather we can delay the start for up to 45 minutes. If we have to cancel for safety purposes no refunds or transfers will be given.
