With the implementation of the amendments to the Construction Act, there remain many significant pitfalls that stakeholders must be aware of in the negotiation of contracts and during actual construction. In particular, the preservation and perfection of claims for liens, the timing of the payment of statutory holdback funds and the application of the prompt payment and adjudication provisions are to be considered. We service all industry stakeholders including owners, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, consultants including architects and engineers, corporations and individuals. The GSNH LLP construction law team regularly advises clients on all aspects of construction projects, from the early stages of planning, financing, structuring, documentation including contract negotiation, drafting and dispute resolution through negotiation, adjudication, arbitration, mediation and litigation. Members of our team act as litigators, arbitrators and mediators of construction disputes.
