We are excited to announce the launch of The Investment Diversity Exchange (TIDE) event to promote diversity as a whole and make a broader impact within the investment industry. We are truly humbled and honored with the amount of support that we have received from the onset!

The event aims to highlight a diverse set of industry professionals and their important contributions. The event also aims to focus on the importance of adopting policies and building partnerships that heighten women’s and minority’s role and influence in the industry. TIDE is hosting its inaugural flagship conference for leaders and decision makers in the investment industry with a mission to break down silos.

TIDE brings together movers and shakers to address challenges that the industry faces today. From gender imbalance to fundraising, to emerging markets and geopolitical issues, the experts offer their insights and solutions. The conference blends together dynamic panel discussions, inspirational keynotes, and networking opportunities in a unique 2-day event.

The New York State Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Asset Management and Financial Institution Strategy (Chapter 171 of the Laws of 2010) was established to codify and replicate best practices for the inclusion of MWBE asset managers, investment banks, and financial and professional service providers. The strategy encourages greater utilization of the services of MWBEs by fiduciary-controlled entities established by New York State law. Such entities include the Common Retirement Fund (“CRF”) under the sole trusteeship of the Office of the State Comptroller, the New York State Insurance Fund (“NYSIF”), the New York State Deferred Compensation Plan and NYSTRS.
NYSCRF Emerging Manager & MWBE Conference | February 14

The Emerging Manager Program of the New York State Common Retirement Fund (the Fund) invests with emerging managers directly, or with the assistance of managers of managers or program partners, in separately managed accounts or commingled funds. Program partners assist in the timely deployment of capital, perform due diligence and recommend managers to participate in the program. Each year, the Fund also seeks to graduate emerging managers to be mature direct investments by the Fund. More than 20 emerging managers have graduated from the Emerging Manager Program.
