Spotlight on Project SAGE

Summer Camp Connnections

After a lengthy hiaitus, Project SAGE is thrilled to be back once again at local summer camps sharing the message of healthy relationships for all. This summer, Community Program Facilitator Ethan Kennelly and several dedicated volunteers brought the free Project SAGE Early Years Program curriculum to Camp SOAR in Salisbury, Creative Kids Club in Falls Village, and Little Rascals Summer Day Program in Sharon -- and we hope to reach summer camps in every one of our six towns in 2025.

With award-winning titles such as The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig, Hey Little Ant by Phillip Hoose, and Anh's Anger by Gail Silver, the Early Years Program curriculum uses engaging picture books and fun activites to teach healthy relationship skills to children as young as three. Campers used their heartfelt words to create a kindness web, considered how to be compassionate to even the smallest among us while creating ant-themed bookmarks, and built confidence in one another with a trust walk. But the fun doesn't end now that summer is over! Project SAGE will once again be offering the Early Years Program to daycares throughout the region during the 2024-2025 school year.
