Goods and Services Auction

May 9 | 5:30 - 8 pm

Join the Unitarian Coastal Fellowship for a night of community fun and friendly competition at their Annual Goods and Services Auction. This lively fundraiser features a silent auction, live auction, food, drinks, and entertainment. Auction items include handcrafted goods, local experiences, and one-of-a-kind services. Admission is free and open to the public.

 
 

Fire Truck Pull at The Sports Center

May 10 | 9 am - 12 pm

Join The Sports Center of Morehead on May 10 for the Fire Truck Pull Fundraiser, where teams will test their strength by pulling a full-sized fire truck, all to support Misplaced Mutts and the Crystal Coast Highland Games!

Connect Carteret Social at DoubleTree by Hilton Atlantic Beach Oceanfront Hotel

May 14 | 5:30 - 7 pm

This month's social will be held in conjunction with the May Business After Hours hosted by the Town of Atlantic Beach Music Festival at DoubleTree by Hilton - Atlantic Beach Oceanfront. Connect Carteret will have a table. Entry is $5 per person. Connect Carteret socials are open to young professionals aged 21-45. Come out for a casual drink, some snacks, and a chance to meet other career-minded people. 

 
 

AB Beach Music Festival Hosts May Business After Hours at DoubleTree by Hilton Oceanfront Hotel

Carteret Community College is excited to share that the Foundation is partnering with the Information Technology Program to offer our community a free workshop. Dr. Lane Freeman from the NC Community College System Office will lead a session titled "AI Made Simple: Hands-On for Everyday Tasks."

Legislative Luncheon

May 28 | 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

The Carteret County Chamber of Commerce Public & Legislative Affairs committee invites Members and the public to the 2025 Legislative Luncheon presented by Beaufort Hotel. Enjoy lunch while hearing updates from Congressman Greg Murphy and other officials. Tickets are limited. Individual tickets are $45 for Chamber Members and $55 for non-members. 

 
 
 

Boat Handling, A 6-Week Course

May 28 | 6 - 8 pm

Learn how to handle your boat in a variety of situations and become the skipper you want to be. Gain confidence in docking, underway, anchoring, and other seamanship skills in the new Boat Handling course by America's Boating Club, intended for newer recreational boaters who have completed a basic boating class (like America's Boating Course) and want to gain more knowledge, skill, and confidence to boat safely and have more fun in a variety of situations. 

 
 

Kayak for the Warriors

May 29 - June 12 | Various Times

Hosted by the Town of Pine Knoll Shores, Kayak for the Warriors is back with a series of exciting events to support Hope For The Warriors. Enjoy a golf tournament on May 30, a reception and auctions on June 5, and the signature Kayak/SUP race on June 7—all in honor of service members and their families.

Old Homes Tour Kickoff Party and Bartenders’ Challenge

The Beaufort Historical Association's 2025 Old Homes Tour Kickoff Party features the popular Bartenders’ Challenge as well as an art preview show from the selected Old Homes Tour artist, JJ Jiang. Tickets for the party are $45.

The entire community is invited to attend the Hope Mission's 2nd Annual PEERS on the BEACH at Fort Macon State Park. Several special guest speakers will address the public as our community works together to end substance use disorders. Tents will be set-up for those in attendance.

Meet at The Circle in Atlantic Beach on Friday July 4, 2025, for the town's annual live music and Independence Day fireworks display. Robert McDuffy and friends will play from 7 – 9 p.m., and fireworks will begin promptly at 9 p.m. Arrive early to claim your spot on the beach.
