(July 1, 2026) – VoiceOverXtra today announces the purchase of the voice over industry’s multi-award-winning news, training and resource center by Belair Creative, LLC the digital marketing company owned by well-known entertainment industry attorney/voice actor/producer Robert Sciglimpaglia and his daughter Mary Brainard.
The VoiceOverXtra.com website was retired by founder John Florian on March 31, following 19 years of leading the industry with news and training, including the introduction of webinars (2009) and the industry’s first virtual conference (2013).
Operated by marketing and SEO expert Mary Brainard, Belair Creative will revamp and recreate the VoiceOverXtra website and continue the email marketing opportunities to voice over subscribers, plus other initiatives. The new website will also feature VoiceOverXtra’s massive archive of 2,500 industry how-to and news articles.
“I am so honored to have the opportunity to continue this resource for the voice over community that John Florian started way back 20 years or so ago,” Sciglimpaglia says. “I feel like I have been with him on every step of his journey and am pleased to continue to carry the torch of his vision.”
Florian is equally enthusiastic about the future of VoiceOverXtra with Belair Creative.
“I’m thrilled by Rob’s and Mary’s plans to continue the VoiceOverXtra legacy,” he says.
“Rob is the industry’s go-to person for legal advice and protection from AI voice theft. Through the years he was a frequent contributor of legal advice articles and a popular webinar trainer. And of course, he’s author of ‘Voice Over LEGAL,’ the industry’s guide to voice over business and legal matters, published by VoiceOverXtra.”
Florian adds that it’s fitting for Sciglimpaglia to carry on the VoiceOverXtra brand.
“Rob and I met in 2006 and formed an accountability group with two other voice actors as we developed our career plans,” Florian notes. “So he’s been with VoiceOverXtra all the way.”
