Board Meeting Notes

January 14, 2025

The newly-installed Ramada heaters provided a warm welcome to the January meeting.  The four 4000-watt heaters have their own switch and timer.  To start a heater, open a switch box, flip the switch to on and rotate the time dial clockwise to any length of time, up to an hour. The heater will turn off automatically. Thank you to Gus and Ralph for making the heaters happen.  Thanks also to Sher Novak for suggesting we get another bid; this lowered the price significantly.

The December minutes and financials were presented and approved.  Documents are available on the website.

Susan Platner has agreed to run for the open Board position.  If anyone else is interested, let a Board member know by January 24.  On that day, the Ballot is final.  Susan’s move leaves an opening for an Alternate Board member.

Dan Fleming has volunteered to serve as webmaster.

Elizabeth Rehling reported the Neighborhood Watch annual event is Thursday, March 6 at 5:30.  Look for the new Neighborhood Watch sign at Highland & 78th Street (south side of street.)  There is an opening for a Block Captain for Miller Street.

John Baughn presented changes to the Rules & Regs – specifically sections 2 and 4.  The changes were accepted by the Board.  He also demonstrated new “historic preservation” links on the website.

Reminder that the Annual meeting is Saturday, February 8th.  Coffee & more at 10:00.  The meeting begins at 11:00.
