Featured Artists:

Meet the artists:

This month the Rowley Public Library is hosting art created by local students from Pine Grove School. Notan is a design element used for creating composition in art. The Japanese use the term 'Notan' to describe an important element of design involving the play of light versus dark.   Students first learned about positive space and negative space and saw examples of artwork displaying both elements. Students then designed, mounted, labelled and titled their own work to prepare it to share with the community. Please take a minute and look at the interesting abstract shapes they created and see what jumps out at you.

Would you like to share your art or collectibles with others?

We have been proud to show off so many local artists and collectors in the past! If you would be interested in displaying your work, hobby, or interest in the future, either on our walls or in our display case, please contact us.

Free with your library card:

The holidays are upon us! A great way to shop local and support the library is by visiting our merch shop and gifting the book lover in your life (or yourself!) some cozy apparel or book themed nick-nacks for your holiday celebrations! Visit our shop by clicking the image below.

If you would like to leave a monetary donation to support the library this giving season, you can donate here! Our donors are highlighted with their own leaf on the tree mural in the lobby of the library. We'd love to feature you!

Have you ever considered becoming more involved in your community? The Friends Board is always looking for more volunteers to assist with community outreach, library events, and fundraising. Our next meeting is Wednesday, December 3rd at 7pm. We'd love to share our plans for 2026 and include you in them! If you have questions or are interested in learning more, you can email us at friendsboard@rowleylibrary.org.

Thank you from the Friends -- Andrea, Steve, Natali and Siegi
