Mission and Outreach

Hunger Offering

On Sunday, October 26, we will receive the monthly Hunger Offering, a designated special offering for alleviating hunger in our community and around the world. The Mission & Outreach Committee partners with the following recipients of the hunger offering: HomeFront, Presbyterian Hunger Program, Send Hunger Packing Princeton, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, and Uniting Reformed Church in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Thank you for giving until all are fed.

Mission Spotlight: ArmInArm

This month, the Mission & Outreach Committee is highlighting our mission partners that work to promote housing and food security. Arm In Arm is one of our closest partners in this work - for over 40 years, Arm in Arm has been supporting Mercer County families in meeting their basic needs for food and shelter. Right now, you can support their Back to School food drive and help feed families in our area this fall.

Neighbor Fund - Supporting Immigrants

in Our Community

Nassau Presbyterian Church's Neighbor Fund provides legal and essential support in collaboration with trusted community partners for immigrants and their families in Princeton. You can give to the Neighbor Fund through the Give Now page on My Nassau or include “Neighbor Fund” in the memo line of your check.

News from our Interfaith Stitchers for Peace: Milestone Sleeping Mat #80

Sleeping mat #80, made of washable plarn (plastic yarn made from shopping bags), will be delivered this month to clients at the Trenton Homeless Shelter. These mats provide an extra layer of softness and warmth to an often cold, hard surface. A huge thank you to our Interfaith Stitches, who gather from a variety of faith traditions to create comfort for those who are suffering.

Staff Appreciation Sunday

Sunday, November 9, 9:15 AM - 12:00 PM

The HR Committee is excited to invite the congregation to join us in celebrating and expressing gratitude to the members of the church staff. During both 9:15 am and 11:00 am worship, we will invite the members of our staff to come forward during worship to be acknowledged and to be thanked. Also, similar to the Sunday we re-dedicated our sanctuary space, we have asked Jose Cintron to provide one of his delicious “expanded” offerings for our fellowship between services in the Assembly Room. The staff of Nassau Church are all extremely dedicated, gifted, and faithful in their service. Please plan to be here on Sunday morning, November 9, to join in our expressions of thanksgiving to each of them and, of course, to our God who calls each one of us to the life of service and discipleship.
